Hi still waiting for my printer in New Zealand, where can I track my parcel, thanks

    2. William Steele on

It would actually be better to not have the motors attached to the electronics while moving the arms to prevent any unintentional damage to the electronics. It should also be easier to move them because they will have no electrical resistance as well. (With the electronics attached, diodes would need to be present to insure no damage, but they are clearly absent given the fact that the power LED turns on during that motion, indicating there is enough power generated to power up the entire system.)

I will try to remember to not move things unnecessarily if I ever get the thing. (east coast USA).

    11. Jeremy Wells on

We were supposed to be notified when ours ships, correct? Others are getting theirs, but I have heard nothing and received nothing.
I even chose the blue one to get early shipment, per your suggestion.

Guys, no point complaining that your printer has not arrived yet. In the previous post (#17) they said it would arrive at the WAREHOUSE in the US and EU at the end of this month. From there on, the printers would be sent to where we specified they should be delivered.
Also, there are some editions that will be sent later because of them not being a certain colour (blue was the first set sent out, I think, the others would be delayed slightly). So, just be patient and wait for your printer to arrive. I see more updates from 101Hero that I have seen from other projects I've backed and so far they've not given any indication that something might be wrong and they've been honest about what kind of delays they think they'll have.

As for this update, why would you want to move the arms up or down manually? Doesn't that kind of break the functionality and offset the positions the printer thinks it's at?

Everyone, have a little chill. Stepper motors also work as generators. When you try to move the motors by hand, you are generating a backwards flow of electric current. It seems the control board does not have a method of dumping the current and causes damage. This is common for lower budget machines. Good thing these printers are Computer Numerical Control and not Hand Control. BTW, even GRBL arduino boards for Shapeokos have this same issue, hand moving the steppers will power the arduino leds and the cooling fan.

Ok, please tell me, when i get the printer to Czech Republic. Nothing yet, still waiting, month after the day D... Thx

    28. Francesco Peeters on

Why continuous power? Most 3D printer start up with steppers disabled, and will disable them after a print completes. Only during printing or after homing the head will those have power on the steppers (which you can also disable from a menuy option, BTW)

    29. Ihab Assi on

Somehow I feel like we've screwed, we are already a month after the promise date and no printers yet, and the product already have a motor problems! It's supposed to be a printer, not a toy and there should be no reason for a broken motor just because you moved it by hand with some minor resistance.

I haven't yet either but I also know they said the first 2000 shipments have gone out and there's 3,698 backers; so obviously not everyone will be getting them yet.
