Submitted my IAG complaint today. This guy is really a shame, I hope he will hide and never start any projects again. But luckily this community is great!

    7. Missing_small

      Creator fastlane on April 11

My package arrived yesterday, finally. It's a shame I had to resort to filing a complaint with the IAG, but it is what it is. My experience is somewhat similar to Yin Yin. My deck arrived in perfect condition, but upon opening the deck, of course no metallic ink. It's very literally just grey. Still a nice looking deck, but not as advertised. Dice came, though I ordered 12 dice (3 pairs red, 3 pairs blue) I received 8 blue dice.

I'll take what I can get at this point, but I won't be backing another project from this guy.

Thanks to all here who tipped me off to the IAG route, and thanks to the IAG for intervening on my behalf despite the fact that I'm not even from the United States. To everyone who hasn't yet done it, and hasn't received their rewards, go to the IAG and they will make Russell make it right. At this point, I really have zero confidence anyone not going this route will ever see their rewards.

    8. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Yin Yin Leong on April 9

Hello everyone, just you let you all know that I also have received my rewards. My package arrived in excellent condition. All in all 14 deck of cards with the brick box and 10 pairs of dice (all blue, no red) with the dice bag. The cards are nice, and would have been nicer with the metallic inks. Now it looks a tad dull =P

Including the time I sent in the form, it takes slightly more than a month for the stuff to arrive,

I would like to thank everyone who helped out and offer options as to how we may go about trying to get our rewards back from Russell. And thanks for posting back and letting us know that filing the form does work :-)

      Time to close this chapter.

There are some familar faces I see, and I do hope to see you in other projects :D

P.S. I do feel that Kickstarter should have some responsibility in the projects -_-

Greetings from Ukraine! I finally received my decks after the complaint to IAG. 22.02 - submission of complaint; 5.03 - respond from IAG; 21.03 - Russell replied to IAG and sent the package; 31.03 - received.

    11. Missing_small

Creator David Elliott on April 2

I know how you feel, Phillip. I stopped backing new projects a couple of years ago after too many of the 100+ "successful" projects I backed didn't deliver and I realized Kickstarter wasn't going to help at all. I backed this one because I had already backed 3 of Russell's projects and was happy with the results. It's very sad that we had to resort to legal action, especially when all we really needed was better communication.

    12. Missing_small

      Creator fastlane on April 2

As with other people here, it appears I will finally be receiving my rewards thanks to the good folks at the Indiana Attorney General's office. It looks like I can forget about red dice, but at this point I'm just going to be happy to get my cards, and the blue dice will have to suffice (not a major problem there). Tracking number in hand, and thankfully he shipped USPS instead of UPS (I'm an international backer)

    13. Missing_small

Creator Phillip Dawes on March 29

I should apologise now to all the worthwhile projects out there that will not be getting any of my money due to (a) this piece of shit conman, and (b) Kickstarter's complete lack of interest in intentional fraud being committed through their site. Disgusting behaviour by both.

Good to Hear David. I am still looking forward to getting my rewards. I would not have ordered them had I not wanted them in the first place.

@kakos98 - I think I saw another international backer just use a random address in Washington State and then added his shipping address in the notes field.

      Creator kakos98 on March 15

Hi everyone. I see that many of you have received your packages after a complaint on the AG. I would like to ask the I international backer how they filled the address section.

    22. Missing_small

Creator David Elliott on March 14

Justin, it looks like the general timeframe is that it takes 10 business days to get a response from the IAG, and then another 10 business days to get your cards. So, you can expect them around the beginning of April, more or less.

It will be nice to someday see people getting their packages without having to submit a complaint.

FINALLY have received my cards and dice (only thing is I got all x20 blue dice when i ordered 10/10 blue/red.) I was one of the 100 early birds, pledged for a brick (12 decks) and x20 dice.

Pledged on 9.4.12. It was estimated delivery December 2012. I filed complaint to Indiana AG as suggested on 2.5.14. Got it yesterday 3.5.14. Yes, more than two years later. It makes me sick just looking at the cards. I might keep one just to remind me to be careful with KS. Tossing the rest to my local game store... hope I can at least get my money back.

Indiana AG tho, seriously gj whatever it is that they're doing. Hope it turns out ok for the rest of yall.

    28. Missing_small

Seems the IAG office can manage what months of Kickstarter posts could not! I've also had a response to my IAG comlpaint; apparently my rewards have now been shipped. I will wait to see if I get everything (I had lots of dice) and reopen my IAG complaint if necessary.

    29. Missing_small

Creator David Elliott on March 6

I agree, Steven. It's really stupid that we have to do it this way. I got my order yesterday, though annoyingly one of the brick boxes is torn.

At least the Indiana AG actually got something to happen. I complained to the WA AG about Core, and they have done nothing. Sadly, this kind of thing has gotten too common on Kickstarter. I like the idea of crowdfunding, but there has to be better planning and accountability. No project should receive 100% of the funding up front, and they should be required by the contract to be communicative and responsive.

Filed my complaint with AIG on Feb. 6th and received an uncut sheet, decks and dice today. What a punk to have to be threatened with legal action before he does what is right...for one person at a time. I would say that it was worth the wait, but it wasn't. I can say good riddance, though. I hope to never hear the name "Kercheval" again. Good luck Kickstarter supporters. Don't give up on social crowd sourcing. I am still a fan and would like to think this person is "the exception" that gives the majority a bad rap.

I just filed mine. Adam, you are right that it's a disgrace. And we had to repeatedly check back to voice our complaints here.

It's a pity. This was one of the earliest project I pledged for and it still hasn't arrived. More than a year. The products are in his hands, just that he is not shipping them to us.

    33. Missing_small

Creator Adam Willis on March 3

It's a total disgrace that people should need to go to the IAG to get what they paid for. It's also completely shameful that Russell only drops by every couple of months to fob us off.

I hope nobody forgets this, next time he asks for money. He doesn't deserve a penny if *this* is the way he does business.

I received my cards today! As stated before, I am an international backer (Australia) that made a complaint to the IAG.

No dice though, even though the mail package says the dice were inside. No viable holes were they could have fallen out, but maybe the package was inspected and the dice were removed? Anyway, I don't care too much about the dice. Happy to finally have the cards.

Hi, international backer here. I received another response from the IAG:

"The Consumer Protection Division has been investigating your complaint. From the information we have recently received, we have reason to believe that your complaint has been or is about to be resolved. Attached is the response from Circle City Cards.

Based on the contents of the enclosed letter, we assume that no further action on your complaint is required by our office. Therefore, we will close your file. It will, however, remain part of our permanent records."

The attached file pretty much said that my cards had been sent out, so hopefully I will receive them soon.

I got my complaint response from the IAG today. One thing it says is: "The Attorney General serves as the attorney for the State of Indiana and this office cannot represent individual consumers in a court action. When it has been determined that a business is involved in a pattern of deceptive practice by the attorney staff, the case is brought in the name of the State of Indiana."

So, it's up to people here to complain so that they can determine that there is a pattern of deceptive practice.
