My name is Alexander Robles. I have a bachelors in Psychology and 3+ years experience working with children and adolescents with social, emotional, and behavioral issues at home, school, and basically in every setting imaginable.
One of the best tools I used to help my kids open up about their feelings were therapeutic bingo games dealing with good behavior, learning to make friends, and keeping your cool. I noticed that there were no bingo games that helped with identifying feelings, so I created Moods Bingo.
The game includes statements that help children understand feelings as well as caricatures that help them identify with how those feelings may look. My goal for this game is to help children learn what feelings are appropriate under a given setting as well as give them room to discuss these feelings and feel comfortable to talk about their feelings with their families and/or peers.
I appreciate the help given. I believe I have a good product here and I have already used it with some of my kids. From my experience, landing on one or two bingo spaces got them talking for about 30-45 mins and the game could not be finished under the one hour session mark for several occasions!
I learned that kids had a lot to talk about what or who is popular now a days and how kids are still very emotional at a very young age [which I believe we tend to forget].
Risks and challenges
I have been in constant communication with a printing company who assures me that I will receive the best product possible. I have, on my own, used Office Depot and have printed out a complete set on my own and the product came out very nicely. I am looking to mass produce this product which is why I am going with a printing company instead of taking trips of my own to office depot.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
