48% and a Podcast
On June 12th, I'll be a guest on the STEM Everyday Podcast with the absolutely delightful Chris Woods, a High School math teacher turned STEM Guru? Proselytizer? Influencer? Communicator?. . . let's go with ... Evangelist who has been talking all things STEM education on his DailySTEM blog, you can find him on twitter @dailystem. We had a fantastic conversation about the once and future state of STEM learning and a few mad tangents on Rube Goldberg Machines. Give a listen on Tuesday.
Because if there is one thing you should know about RaceYa is that it's not actually about the car.
Here on Kickstarter, it is all about the car, because that's what we're pre-selling. But RaceYa is about so much more than that. It's about building a generation of creative, resilient, compassionate thinkers who can tackle anything the world throws at them. It's about treating boys and girls as equally capable humans who will use their own unique strengths to find different, and equally valid, solutions to the same problems. And it's about bringing them together under the banner of open communication so they can share and learn with and from one another.
That's what RaceYa is about. But it's super hard to package that into a reward tier. (Just think of the shipping costs!!)
So - In the meantime - We have about 1 week left to get RaceYa over the line.
One week to bring RaceYa to more gloriously creative, insightful, visionary folks like you! So who do you know? What groups are you a part of, on the socials or the emails or the school listservs who would love customizing a racecar with their kids? We can spring the whole saving the world mission on them later.
