THE TRUU VISION
High technology and pure innovation define Truu. Wireless earbuds that charge wirelessly. Truu is changing the industry by providing a true wire and hassle free experience. Place the earbuds on our carefully designed charger and the wireless charging will take care of the rest. No wires, no charging cases, no hassle.
The name comes from the industry term “true wireless” which has become the industry descriptor for wireless earbuds. We believe it doesn't get any truer than this.
MAGNETISM + TRUU WIRELESS = PERFECT MATCH
The two earbuds are beautifully connected by grade N52-magnets. The earbuds are activated by separating these magnets. The charger is also equipped with magnets to facilitate the wireless charging. The most effective charging is made by separating the two earbuds before placing them on the charger.
FRIEND OF ALL EARS
The earbud design is derived from careful studies of the ear anatomy and results in a perfect in-ear fit that remains in your ear no matter shape and size. The lines of the Truu earbud gently follows the ear and rests in the bottom of the ear.
Additionally, Truu earbuds are equipped with Comply™ foam tips. We have tested all foam ear tip products out there and we have concluded that Comply™ has the best performance.
THE WIRELESS FREEDOM
We believe the future is wireless and there is no running away from it.
1. Not having to plug your earbuds into cords or place them in cases is pure freedom.
2. We want the wireless charger to be a generic interior piece in your home. The charger that comes with your Truu earbuds has a Scandinavian design with wooden details, inspired by our Swedish heritage. We aim to develop several charger concepts going forward in order to offer a range that can be a contributory interior detail for any home.

Bluetooth 4.1 means a highly stable Bluetooth connection with a trouble free pairing combined with a good Bluetooth range and low power consumption. See specifics below.

This was not negotiable for us. A sophisticated mechanical design has ensured robust earbuds with the very highest build quality.
BUILT-IN MICROPHONE
The right earbud has a built-in microphone which enables the user to also make calls with Truu.

To make life simpler for the user, we choose a battery with 5 hours playing time, so your Truu will last a whole day.

We have a passionate team in place, eager to get going with testing & certifications. The components are tested and the design is ready. So far, all of this is developed with the help of savings and a lot of hard work. Three main points are relevant for the funding:

EARLY THANKS
The prototypes were created with the help from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and their facilities. The video was filmed with the help of two friends from the media institute of Stockholm: Fredrik Lönning and Adam Bassari. You are our heroes!
Risiken und Herausforderungen
We are certain that the components will work together and fit inside the dimensions of our design. Although, one can never be completely sure until production is scalable under an economic point of view and we have tested the product over and over again.
Another question is the patent. We have filed an application for patent and registered the design at the Swedish patent office. Patent pending.

The microphone function was something we decided to go for after we had done the film. We will do our best to develop this function so that you can have a normal phone call by talking straight out. Worst case scenario, you will have to hold one of the earbuds closer to your mouth. But that is of course worst case! We will keep you posted!

Yes if your phone is equipped with the components needed for standardised wireless charging it is most possible and even encouraged! The more wireless the better!

They are stereo!

The wireless charging is certainly something we are looking forward to develop and offer a more wide range of, including a charger that stores power. Although, for this first launch, it will only include the stationary charger you see in the campaign images.
Apart from this, there are already chargers out there with the same technology as we incorporate and also models that can store power. In the future we believe this is something you will be able to find in any electronics store.

Our schedule might look optimistic. This is due to the fact that we are in a partnership with Sudio, a quality earphone brand in Stockholm (www.sudiosweden.com). With the help of their infrastructure in terms of sourcing and shipping, we believe the time schedule is feasible.

Good question! This is something we aim to develop, and offer a wide range of (chargers), going forward post-launch. Also, there are existing chargers out there that offers the same technology (also portable ones). Our belief is that these type of chargers will be available in any consumer electronics store in the future.

The left Truu earbud is the master side and is connected directly to the phone or device. The L side (master side) is then directly connected to the R side. Hence only the left earbud is connected to the bluetooth device.
We have a limited area on the PCB for the antenna but so far we have not seen any issues with the connectivity between the L and R sides. We have tested a lot of the products out there today and we do understand that this is a common problem for the existing true wireless products, hence we are putting more resources to solve it. So far we have increased the buffer size together with a well developed synchronising algorithm to avoid these problems. This is how we believe that we can differ from many existing models in terms of Bluetooth connectivity.

We do not promise any stretch goals at this point of time as we are entirely focusing on optimising the design and technology we are working with today. But of course, this much funding opens up possibilities and we will consider it.
