Link is an unforgettable guitar capo and also a bottle opener.
A capo is a device used to raise the pitch or change keys on a guitar without having to re-tune the strings or change chord shapes. It's most useful when singing in different keys or playing music with others.
How to use your Link Capo:
Link was inspired by the frustration of losing or often forgetting to bring a capo with me to live performances.
After months of prototyping, testing and redesigning I came up with a solution that I call Link.
Link is lightweight, compact and easy to carry with you .
With a little creativity, you will find that there are numerous ways you can attach your Link capo to everyday carry items.
Rest easy ...
Link is designed so that the steel hardware never makes contact with the wooden neck of your guitar.
Made in the USA !
Link is made in Chicago, Illinois.
The materials used for Link are, laser cut stainless steel, nylon webbing with a 1400 pound breaking strength, industrial hook and loop fastener that ensures secure shear and peel strength even after 10,000 cycles and (SBR) Rubber.
The stainless steel is laser cut on the north side of Chicago at D&J Metalcraft Co., where they have been in the business for over 30 years.
The capo is then hand assembled and sewn on an industrial machine on the near south side of Chicago in the Pilsen neighborhood.

This project was launched as a requirement for my Entrepreneurial Product Design class at the University of Illinois at Chicago. You can see all of the other campaigns at http://always-be-hustling.tumblr.com/kck2016. By backing this project, you are both pledging to pre-order a designed object AND supporting a student who is learning entrepreneurship through launching. Thanks for the support!
Risks and challenges
The only obstacles that I can foresee are logistics because I’m working with multiple manufacturers. My manufacturing partners have committed, so I do not anticipate these potential delays. Rest assured that I am dedicated and will do everything in my power to immediately control any delays. I will update everyone throughout the course of the campaign if any issues should arise.
