Ebony kiss one of the first and baddest black female cowgirls. One of the best bounty hunters in the 1860's. She leaves behind a playing card with a kiss on it with each bounty, hence the name Ebony kiss.
Hi my name is Delbert Hewitt, Jr. I am putting together a comic book,in honor of Bernard Busby one of my bestfriends (Who I met at the Atlanta College of Art in 1994) that passed away of cancer in 2008. We would talk about his dreams all the time and Ebony Kiss would always come up! I decided it was time for his dream to see the light of day! So by using his character that he created, I will see his dreams come true.
To raise $9,500 to pay the artists (which is almost half the money) for the creation of The Element of Surprise will be Standard comicbook size 6.875 x 10.5, 20 pages color interior + Full Color Cover 15 pages of actual story with 5 pages of extra art! The Dealers hand will be Standard comicbook size 6.875 x 10.5, 32 pages color interior + Full Color Cover 25 pages of actual story and 7 pages of extra art!(almost the other half for printing) Post Cards 4.25 x 5.5 Full Bleed printed on 100# matte card stock. Prints 11 x 17 Full Bleed printed on 100# card stock. So That's two comics while offsetting some of the usual production expenses, Kickstarter/Amazon fees, and postal service costs. For this Western themed comic Kickstarter project and only 40 days to do it. Any extra will help further fund the some of the next stories like the origin story of Ebony Kiss outlined by Bernard Busby - all of which together will create two comic book issues. We will be working hard to finish the two story arc's by May, so that production can be completed towards the end of May beginning of June. PDF's will be sent out before it gets to the printers!

Each comic being at least 20 pages plus. Two Stories, Two art teams, first team is for The Dealer's Hand written by Randy Belaire and all art by Jhomar Soriano! Risks and challenges
After this project is funded the real work begins! As you know anything can and will happen so I need to have patience and I will give you clear communication if anything should go wrong(I tell you how I plan to fix that problem). Steps that need to be taken? The stories need to be pencilled, inked, colored, lettered and sent to the printers. I've looked high and low,I believe I have assembled the best team from around the world together to get the work done. These men are professionals,Noel Rodriguez has 15 pages to pencil and can do 3 pages a week. Jhomar Soriano is spending the whole months of December and Janaury to just work on his pages, that he has already finished two pages on to date. Yes the risks are huge of not completeing the work but they are inching to get started on this project so we can have a finished product to mail to you by June 2013..
