PROGRESS REPORT! New Video Coming Soon!

We have a new video that has been recorded and is currently being edited. We are burning the midnight oil to deliver the best to our backers by today! Please keep an eye on our Kickstarter page and we hope to have a full update posted by the end of May 17th.

PLEASE NOTE! This is a first look at the park guests - there will be a wider variety of guests when the game is released - male/female, different shapes and sizes, various skin colors, shirt colors, etc.

Looking awesome so far! I've got only one question tho. Why aren't the park guests sitting in rows of 2 on the coaster?
I assume it's probably still something that is being worked on right now, but it would be great to see something like groups riding together and also cluster together like in real. So groups of 4 riding together in one car. Groups of 3, so an empty seat in that car will occur. Single riders that are being suborn and riding alone. And of course, the all so typical seat preferences: Back row and front row will fill up first, only to have other guests with less preferences to fill up the middle rows. =)

@iCarlo as the moment there not money involve but they could be in a update.

    3. Carlo Zayne on May 17, 2013

Will we be able to charge park the guests entrance/ride fees similarly to Rollercoaster Tycoon? Or are the guests basically just another form of moving scenery (in a sense)?

    4. Josh McCormick on May 17, 2013

Please tell me that you're going to make a Horror add-on expansion for this.

    5. John Leonard on May 17, 2013

Wouldn't it be awesome to add a SIMS plugin into your game! Just dreaming...... LOL

    6. Martin Bouman on May 17, 2013

Looks very promising and I'm impressed :-). Looking out for the video. And I have to say quality is more important than speed. Thanx for the update!

Looks Awesome, although I'm sure you all are still polishing things up.

@Bataille Jules - Well kinda. Pantera will most likely add money management later, but I believe TPS focus is on the creating aspect. But I bet each expansion will be top notch or not done at all.

      Quoting Kelly Kloen's comment:

"Why don't give the guest names from the backers"

      +1 on that!

    18. Bataille Jules on May 17, 2013

At the end , will the game be a management game like RCT , I mean with actuals goals to achieve and with the possibility to set the price of the differents attractions? Coz it like you seem to be heading towards that way.

Looking amazing guys! So excited for this, especially everything is practically customizable! Cant wait, I have a question though, will there be Gentle Rides? Like not just coasters but log flume, river rapids, and kid rides on track, etc.?

      Thank you for the update.
      great, now we see people.
There should be a publisher, and it will be perfect

    22. Kelly Kloen on May 17, 2013

Why don't give the quest names from the backers...

      That would be nice :D

So i can see myself walking in my park :D

    23. Steve T on May 17, 2013

The peeps look amazing!!! Can't wait for the video!!! I'm going to sit here until it appears! :-) Great work Pantera!!!

    24. Laurence Tweedy on May 17, 2013

is Theme Park Studio going to be able to play like roller coaster tycoon, where the game would be full screen, or is it going to be in a constant window? because so far the only video i have seen without a window is the mondial topscan test video.

    25. Michael Yee on May 17, 2013

Looks FANTASTIC, guys! Looking forward to the video!

    26. William C Crawford on May 17, 2013

I said 'is', but I meant "How complex will it be?"

    27. William C Crawford on May 17, 2013

How complex is the AI for guests? Will families travel in groups? Will they split up sometimes? Will couple hold hands as they walk? Will you enable LGBT couples? Will their buying habits make sense, or will they just buy as they go by things?

    28. Jalister on May 17, 2013

Now that I've seen the NPCs I want an NPC editor. It's would be great if we could make uniforms for employees and character costumes for other workers to entertain guests. I'd even like the option to edit the park guests based on the park, like setting up guests with Halloween costumes for a Halloween season at the park.

    29. Conner Reed on May 17, 2013

I'm glad I helped back this, I feel like this game will set the standard for Theme Park sims for years to come

    30. Pantera Entertainment Creator on May 17, 2013

David - We are looking at the user interface, but at the moment, we want to get the functionality of the game implemented and working. We know that we can ship the game with the current UI if we had to, and then improve it down the road in an update. But it's certainly something that would be considered if we have time.

Looks awesome can't wait to see the vid =D

    32. David Lipowicz on May 17, 2013

      The game looks amazing!

Is there any chance you'd be able to improve the UI a bit though? Just make it look a bit more modern and easier to use?

So excited for the game, and can't wait to play it on my Rift and Hydra :)
