Fulfillment is through RPGNow, and through their Print Partner, Lightning Source, which has printers in the UK and US (I've received PoD stuff from them from both sites). If you've dealt with them before you'll be aware that even their 'cheap' (non-trackable) shipping to Australia option is *very* expensive compared to other US based companies doing similar things (such as Createspace, through Amazon) and slow.
However, there is an alternative. I have been getting proof copies for the pre-campaign drafts from Lulu, which *does* have an Australian printer (in Melbourne) ... and, while their printing fees are higher (triple or more) than Lightning Print's, their cheap shipping option gets them to me overnight (two business days at worst, so far) here in Sydney ... and for far, far less postage than Lightning Source charges (though, remember, it takes them 3-5 days to actually print a Softcover and 5-12 to do a Hardcover).
So, at the end of the campaign I can, for Australian Backers, let you know what the cost for Printing and Postage would be for Aussie sourced books and you can decide if the comparative cost is worth getting them through me (paying me the additional separately) or not.
While Lulu does do both Softcover and Hardcover, it only does Softcover in Australia now (but Colour as well as B&W - the cost of colour is prohibitive, close to A$55-60 for printing a Softcover compared to about A$30 from Createspace), the relative cost for the latter makes them uneconomical ... for example, Book #1 costs A$7.56 for printing as a Softcover and A$22.84 for a Hardcover.
I will investigate alternatives as the campaign proceeds.
New Zealand and regional customers - sadly Australia Post's international shipping options are hugely overpriced even compared to Lightning Print, so there may be little or no difference in getting your copies from them.
