About this project
What are we raising funds for?
Next Reflex Dance Collective is raising funds for two upcoming performances at Dance Place in Washington, D.C. on April 21st and 22nd, 2012. The $600 raised will go directly to hiring the "The Caesarz", a very talented D.C. based band who will play live as part of "Electro Shutdown & The Pea". The total cost of hiring that band is $1200. We are asking for a $600 kickstart in raising these funds! Help be a part of making the Metro/DC Award winning company a success in putting on their most exciting and cutting edge production yet!
About Electro Shutdown & The Pea:
Next Reflex Dance Collective and Dance Place present “Electro Shutdown & The Pea”, an experience from within a night club that begins upon arrival. Dance Place will be transformed into the new hot D.C. night club,"The Pea" with spectators participating in the action; waiting in line to enter the club, interacting with cocktail waitresses and club goers in the lobby, and then are placed in the thick of the concert scene. In this wild spectacle of a show, NRDC performers represent an array of club goers and give an inside view from the female perspective to various scenarios from the funny and absurd to the romantic and frenetic. Be on the lookout for a flashmob at some point during the evening! NRDC invites you to be part of the action. To be a spontaneous performer, please visit Next Reflex Dance Collective’s website at www.nextreflexdc.com. The evening closes with a live musical performance by the Caesarz (Electro Shutdown) and an open dance floor. Music mixed and recorded by DJ LIL FOS and a special guest appearance by dancers from Joy of Motion Dance Center’s resident hip-hop company, DCypher.
