Thanks for a tremendous Kickstarter campaign!! If you missed us here, don't worry, you can still get a GoClamp!! Visit www.go-mount.com for more info and to place an order.
Who started this?
My name is Jason and I believe life is an adventure and want to take full advantage of it! I always wanted a way to capture the best of life's moments so I was beyond excited when GoPro cameras came into existence. I use my GoPro for just about everything, however I kept having to jerry-rig a mount in order to get the perfect camera angle. So I roped my dad into using his AutoCAD skills to design something I had in mind. Together, we have created something to put an end to all that jerry-rigging. We created the GoClamp!
What is it?
The GoClamp is a plastic (Polycarbonate) spring clamp with GoPro fittings integrated directly on the neck. The GoClamp has become my favorite mount and the one that I use most often. It allows so many different camera angles, which is key to making an awesome video. With the ability to quickly move it from one location to another, the GoClamp saves you time from having to un-bolt, re-bolt just to mount on a different surface. This mount can be attached to just about anywhere. Check out the below for just a few examples. The possibilities are endless.
This universal mount has been key for me to easily use and setup to get the perfect shot while filming in various locations.
You can even place a second GoPro on the other side:
How does it work?
Simply attach the GoPro directly to the clamp (no tripod mount needed here) and you are just a squeeze away from mounting your GoPro anywhere.
Where are we in the process?
We have designed the GoClamp using AutoCAD and had the initial prototype shown in the pictures and video made from a 3-D printer (those printers are awesome by the way) which is not as durable as real plastic. It cost around $70 to bring this to life, which is out of the range I want to pay for a GoPro mount. So we have contacted several Plastic Injection Molding companies to see how much it would cost to have the GoClamp professionally made.
The biggest expense is the customized mold needed to make the GoClamp. From there each GoClamp piece can be produced at an affordable rate. Your pledges from this KickStarter campaign will be used to pay for the production of every GoClamp you are awarded.

Stretch Goals
We have some in mind, but we are not telling yet...
Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge we face is that we have never dealt with Plastic Molding before. We have worked with tons of vendors for other projects from our regular day jobs, so we are extremely confident this process will run smoothly.
Another challenge we foresee is the shipping process. Since we are not setup to handle large volume of shipments out of my apartment, it will take several trips to the mail center to send out your GoClamps.
A huge ongoing challenge for us has been to find a good night's sleep. Once we decided to launch this project, it has been go, go, go to get it to this point. Between our regular day jobs and always wanting to go out and play with the GoPros, there is only so many hours in a day. But we are doing everything we can make this a success.
