I was debating how much to pledge and then I saw these...The GK games are personally very special to me so this is a no brainer. So happy these were saved!
I just noticed, there's no mention of sizing here. Obviously this would be something people would want to frame. I'm trying to decide if I want to jump up to the next tier.
You know who owns them? I'd love to see some hi-rez scans...
Paula, they still exist safe and sound!
This is something I couldn't resist! I'd so love to get a portrait of Gabe or Grace, or maybe that talisman one... Probably I'll end up with a sketch of someone's arm or something. ;-)
I wonder what happened to the background art of GK1?
These sketches look amazing!
And to those who are in for the GK1 and GK2 novels... you are in for a real treat! I already have both of them (books) in my shelves. As a matter of fact I actually read Sins of the Fathers BEFORE playing the game! It made me cry...
I would love a GK3 novel, but I don´t think there is one...
Props to Matt Salzberg. What an occurrence that the series of games which earned Jane so much adoration and loyalty would have such a physical and ironical role in helping her own studio 13 years later. Or in GK1's case 19 years later.
@Words of Magic - The fact that people would dumpster dive for sierra stuff should have suggested to Sierra that they need to not throw away their things.
Awesome...last update, I'd said I could go up to 500 if there were a tier at that level...so I just did! Hooray!
I guess I'm going to have to find another 250$
Well, in those days, ebay... But true, these things should never have been discarded.
I don't understand those people, throwing away those sketches.
If offered on ebay...well you know^^
Well, I was able to save a few things from the garbage bin when I visited the Oakhurst office after the move myself. Nothing GK related though.
@jessica - used to make a new jane jensen game a relaity. its almost like detsiny.
You're gonna make me poor! Awesome! ;)
A dumpster! Why would anyone throw away fine art into a dumpster?! Near-sighted ignorrant beasts, that's who. Good to see the pieces were saved and are put to a infinitely more appropriate use.
Uh, yeah, just doubled my pledge.
Can't afford this but it's definitely an awesome reward and hopefully raises a ton of money for the project.
Yep, my pledge just increased tenfold. Take all my money, Jane! :)
omg this is so awesome !
Well... that's $80K in the bank! Good job guys!
*watches the sales go up* woo!
Wow... Wow... Wow...
I assume we won't get to choose our sketch until the end as people could pull out before then? That's going to make for a really looooong 28 days.
OMG! In a dumpster? Those guys who cleaned out the Oakhurst-building should be fined!!
I WISH I could afford 500$, but sadly I can't. You lucky guys who get that one!
AA, there's apparently 160 in all. I counted 14 backers so far in 500+ tiers so 146 left I think.
Questionable hygiene about those being taken from a dumpster notwithstanding....just upped my pledge. :)
So at the moment it says there are 117 left, but taking into account the higher pledges, does that really mean it's about 107 left?
OMG. Holy crap this just got real!
Any chance you'd scan them all and add the scans to a lower tier? :)
I didn't think I'd go up to $500 but just can't resist this one.
wooow...thats super tempting! Ill have to think about it. but boy that would be amazing to have!
I always loved that Oakhurst building, Jane... I thought it was really pretty.
HOLY CRAP, you just got an extra 200$ from me Jane XD
*drool* Dammit, my kingdom for $500!
... in the Dumpster? That's a serious travesty. Thank goodness they were rescued! :)
