My name is Nik Holmes and I'm an Illustrator and tee designer with a passion for pop culture and a love of Zombies!
This project is about creating an epic zombie print which is bursting at the seams with undead action and I want YOU to be my zombie horde! I aim to create a vast zombie landscape thriving with undead activity and perhaps a few familiar faces from the world of undead horror.
A basic example of how the final poster may appear - remember more backers means more undead chaos!
If the project is successfully funded, backers will receive contact information and instructions on how to submit 1 photograph of themselves/friend/family member or pet. I will use these photos to create the portrait! Once the backers portrait is completed, I will send the design, and at this time changes can be made. Only one set of changes will be allowed per portrait (limited to 1 email list of requested alterations, cannot change person chosen for portrait) And remember, you can have fun - you can be a clown zombie, a cop zombie, any kind of zombie. You can have a chainsaw through your chest, be as gnarly or as fresh as you want! As soon as backing is complete and the final number of flesh eaters is confirmed I will get to work on the layout of the piece and let people know how the layout of the final artwork.
An example of how one segment of the poster may look
Once every portrait is 100% finished, I will then stitch the pieces together to produce the final epic zombie landscape! At this stage backers will receive a digital version of their Zombie Portrait. Prints will be exclusive to the qualified backers and each will be fully inspected, signed and numbered before the final shipping.
Also, every pledge of £5 (approx. $7) and above will receive a genuine ZombieDollar Bill which can be exchanged for canned goods and shotgun shells once the zombie apocalypse is upon us! While not really legal tender in any sense of the word, all ZombieDollars will be sent out to backers as soon as the project is successfully backed.
I hope this is something people can get behind. It's something I'm excited to work on and I love the idea of helping folk become part of the zombie apocalypse without the usual hassle of rage infected chimps, fallen satellites or alien brain slugs!

Risks and challenges
With many years creating illustrations and meeting deadlines, the only challenges to completing the project will be waiting on photos from successful participants. However due to the nature of the piece, work can still continue in this event and all involved will receive constant updates on the progress of their own particular Zombie Portrait.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
