Mythica: The Fate of Heroes is a game of gritty adventure, hard choices, necessary teamwork, and occasional betrayal. Two to six players take on the roles of popular characters from e movies or entirely new personas and try to hold off the tide of evil that threatens to wash over the world. Danger looms from all directions, and each player must walk the path of a hero or face grim defeat.
Mythica is a complex choose-your-own-adventure game with innumerable paths to follow and possible outcomes. The game itself has behaviors, determined in part by rules and randomization and also by the actions and choices of the players.
While we have taken inspiration from the Mythica films, our goal was to provide a vast and complex adventure game that never plays the same way twice and to make the players feel the pressure of overwhelming opposition and brutal choices. Mythica: The Fate of Heroes allows players to choose whether they will focus on building the strength of their individual hero, on building up political support, or on some hybrid strategy that suits them.
The game comes with over-arching plots that can be played as is or mixed into countless variations. The world contains many potential villains, including Szorlok and others from the films and also new threats, that gain strength as they are thinned out and the game progresses. In the end, one will rise to power and the players will again face difficult decisions. Personal glory or selfless heroism? Steadfast virtue or outright betrayal? Regardless of the path taken, the game will boil down to one titanic showdown, so long as the players can keep the world together that long.
If the players beat the odds and come out on top, their feats and individual legacy are tallied to determine who is the ultimate hero - the mythic hero whose legend will live longest in the songs of bards.

Please Take Note! We will be charging shipping after the Kickstarter concludes based on the actual costs incurred to ship. We will collect this via our pledge manager after the campaign ends. This is so we can be fair to all our backers as shipping is not one size fits all. We will ship your rewards at our cost depending on where in the world you are.
Following is a list of rough estimates for shipping a standard game package. Keep in mind these are just estimates, and costs will very based on the weight of the final game and packaging design.
USA: $10-$15 to most states. $10-$18 to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
CANADA: $15-$30 to most cities.
LATIN AMERICA: $60-$70 to most countries.
ASIA: $30-$40 to most countries.
OCEANIA: $20-$40 to Australia and New Zealand.
AFRICA: $70-$80 to most countries.
EUROPE: $20-$30 to most countries. $35 to Norway, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia. $40 to Bosnia, Croatia, and Iceland. $60-$70 to Israel, Liechtenstein, and Serbia.
Unfortunately, different import laws and customs have made it impossible to ship games to certain specific countries. *WE DO NOT SHIP TO:* Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.
We also cannot ship to PO Boxes domestically or internationally. Due to the size of each package there is too great a risk of the package being bounced back to us. Thank you for your understanding.
Risks and challenges
Coming up with unique mechanisms, great art work, and innovative play is the fun part of game design. The difficult part is getting all the new exciting stuff into the hands of players, which leads us to one of the big challenges - MANUFACTURING!
A huge obstacle to producing board games is the cost of manufacturing. Most large-scale manufacturers will only do minimum runs of 2,000-3,000 units, which presents a significant challenge to small, independent game design companies. We love making the games and we put in the effort and the hours without thought of financial gain, but to get our fun, innovative ideas into gamers' hands, we need crowd-funding support.
Thank you in advance,
