I have learned to bend, fold, and work steel to make beautiful works of art. I am a craftsman, an IT engineer, and an artist. I enjoy working with my hands, and as such, I took up the hobby, which has become an obsession of knife making.
When I first took up the hobby, I planned on making knives that no one else makes. Everyone seems to make the same type of plain old, boring knife. I'd rather make different stuff. I've gotten good at making a decent tool, at a fair price. However, my equipment has taken a toll. My forge is in ruins and no longer works, and my itty, bitty grinder is just not doing the job any longer, sufficient of popping out high quality finishes.
I'm hoping this project earns the funds necessary to improve and replace both with quality equipment. The plan is to purchase a 'Skull Forge' from Michigan, and a 2" x 72" professional Knife grinder from Oregon Blade Maker. With these wonderous tools and toys can be fabricated.
So what are these awesome rewards for your generous donations? The rewards are many and may be added to weekly.

Combination Package of the same model of practice knife/work knife. These are great for getting used to handling your tool. Allowing it to become part of your every move, an extension of yourself.
The Patriot Knife - This is a work of art. My passion and soul went into this knife. I have custom etchings of MK and a couple of Punisher Skulls on the blade.
So many ways you can both help out and get some great work knives. Keep in mind the funds donated to this project don't just stop at a better grinder or new forge. With additional funds, I can also add a power hammer, rolling press, and press. Having a great shop to provide the best tools possible is my goal; my mission, and my passion.
Thank you for viewing!

Risks and challenges
With performing blacksmithing, there is always a safety risk. The forge gets enormously hot, hitting the 2000+ degrees. In addition, grinding steel can also be hazardous, causing the belt to catch the steel and take it over.
The financial risk involved for any investors is zero. I can begin production of the tools, with your choice of finish (satin, mirrored, or black) as soon as I receive the tools. I typically work with D2 and 1095 Steel as the cost is low and is easy to work with. I usually keep a good supply of all of the other parts handy, such as rivets, pins, handle materials, and kydex.
As I do work a full time job, I must insist on at least a 3 week lead time after I receive the tools to get each order filled and shipped.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
