Love & Hearts

Posted by Jessica Edwards (Creator)

Dear Backers,

Well, we’re just about 70K funded and we’re so grateful for all the support around the film. We always knew Kickstarter was the best way to build a community for this project, and we’re so happy to have all of you on board to make this dream a reality. So from the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU!!

Speaking of hearts, we’re adding a new reward today from designer and artist Burton Kramer. Burton is best known for his seminal logo designs, but he’s also a beautiful and accomplished fine artist. He’s generously allowed us to offer a signed print from his 1974 series Hearts.

We’d also like to share some of the love we’ve gotten from the press over the last few weeks. We’ve seen amazing stories in Wired, Fast Company, Globe & Mail, CBC Arts and many others.

Thank you for your continued support of Design Canada, we couldn’t do it without you.

Wonderful news. Thanks for the update.

Many of us out here are hoping that you will encompass the many talented women who have worked at all levels of the design profession — in the big markets but also in more out of the way settings. It's a very important part of the history of design in Canada — as well as the future!
