The highly durable watch that pays tribute to the heritage of horology, merged with a bold progressive look. The North Sea is nothing less than a piece of art.
The goal is set to match the minimum requirement for production.
The high quality rubber bracelet comes as standard with the North Sea, but you have the opportunity to add further straps. Do you want to dress it up even more with a croc-grained leather strap or make your watch shark proof with a Milanese mesh strap in steel?
We have selected only the best quality straps, so your decision might be hard, but never wrong.
Add 40$ (340 SEK) for 1x Black or Brown Leather and add 50$ (427 SEK) for 1x Steel Mesh. Don't worry, we will double check your choice before delivery.
If we reach 200% funding, all backers will receive a free Nato strap of your choice.
If we reach 300% funding, we will further decorate the case back with deep, brushed etching with the full brand name "E.C.Andersson" and it's origin, the city of "Göteborg", on top and below the logo.
The 400% stretch goal is unlocked, which means you can get your North Sea with black PVD coating. Demonstration will be available on our website. You can make the choice when we reach out to you, by end of campaign.
Our philosophy is simple and can be described in a single sentence:
"Your watch is ment to be used - Always"
We want to create watches with high quality, developed to endure all challenges, occasions and environments in your daily life.
The idea came from E.C.Andersson’s creator when he was sailing along the coastline of Scandinavia – The idea of a watch that could match both the harsh climate out at sea, and the more formal, social environment once docked in harbor. A people’s watch, fitting most wallets, without compromising quality. Mechanical automatic, made of durable materials with a progressive, yet clean design.
A watch made to endure You
Many microbrands uses finished cases and put their logo on the dial – Not us. We have designed every detail by ourselves, from the date wheel, to the lugs, case, curved crystal, hands and everything in between. We have been involved in the manufacturing process from the first stroke on the drawing board to full completion.
We wanted to make a watch that pays tribute to the heritage of horology, but merge it with a bold progressive look. It’s made to be highly visible in all conditions, with sharp illuminated indices, a distinct minute frame and a unique, expressive white calendar wheel in contrast to the matte black dial.
Our inspiration is the very first "pillow" oyster case, introduced in the early 1900’s, and our focus group is the modern watch enthusiast, who want to wear quality but refuse to pay for marketing hype.
Our strong belief is that 40mm in diameter is, and will always be, the golden measurement for a sports watch. It simply looks great on every wrist, no matter the size or gender of the wearer and it’s certainly timeless, able to be passed on for generations.
The thickness of the watch is 10mm, making the watch look robust, but never chunky.
Most importantly, we wanted a watch that can be used – no matter what. To ensure high standard of quality, we will make sure that every timepiece is handmade and individually tested. Not one watch will leave the factory without living up to our high standard.
We have seen countless microbrands using Miyota, Sellita and other movements built upon the ETA design. Don’t get us wrong, they are decent movements. By trying out the toughness, reliability and service capacity of different movements however, we have become absolutely in love with the SEIKO NH05.
Built like a tank and reliable as a trooper. The SEIKO NH05 won’t let you down even on the most turbulent waters, in office or at the gym. Actually, it’s so robust that you won’t need to service the North Sea in the next decade. And when you do – it will be at a very low cost compare to it's rivals.
We care about each and every one of our supporters, so please don’t hesitate to send us an email of any inquiry regarding the watches, at:

Risks and challenges
We are massively prepared for this launch and our manufacturer is standing by, ready to start producing as soon as the campaign has succeeded.
Of course, there is always the possibility of delays in fine detail manufacturing. We hope all backers sympathize with this and trust that we will do everything we can to avoid and minimize delays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
