About this book (aside from its super cuteness)
When something is lost, there is wisdom to be found.
For Sam the Sea Otter, a priceless family heirloom leads to the best day ever, until a seagull fight changes everything…
Uh oh! What happens next?!
We'd love to tell you, but no one likes a spoiler! What we can say is that the simple, clear words and wonderful illustrations will beautifully convey this book’s valuable message: The most precious things in life aren’t things. Sam’s mom has a powerful lesson to share that can help you recognize what’s “just a rock” in your big picture too.
Huh? What does "just a rock" mean? Buy the book! All shall be revealed. :)
Why we're crowdfunding
The money raised from this campaign will go toward the artwork, copyrights, distribution, marketing and other associated costs of publishing. Our future goal will be to partner with a big-name publishing house so we can get The Greatest Treasure into as many schools and libraries as possible, starting with the US and Canada and branching out from there. Hello world!

Risks and challenges
The book is written and the illustrations are being drawn as we speak, so there isn't much standing in our way! Any road blocks we encounter will be conquered - you're backing two very determined women here. This book will be published and it will be wonderful, this we know.
One possible concern we can foresee would be a delay in delivery for the straw kit rewards. Due to the increased popularity of reusable straws (yay!), a lot of manufacturers can't keep up with demand (bummer!). So it's possible that our vendor may run out of the straw kits in the time between this project's launch and closure. In this case, we would request your patience and promise your straws will be sent to you lickity split!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
