Welcome to the 23rd volume of Dimgaard's 5th edition adventures. Thanks for the consideration. If you want to see what a Dimgaard adventure module looks like, here is a sample (the first episode of this volume's Tyranny in Purple): http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/215238/TP1-Tribute-Time. Also, here is the first episode of the Encounters with Gold series: http://www.dmsguild.com/product/226531/EG1-Draconic-Awareness.
Fey Secrets concluded in Volume XXII, so we kick off a new 21 episode adventure: Encounters with Gold. The storyline revolves around the Dragon Cabal, which has made a few appearances in Dimgaard adventures over the past few years. We offer the first four episodes, and the story begins with a community of green dragon cultists taking over an idyllic forest.
Tyranny in Purple continues, and the heroes have the chance to solidify the Onyxbane dwarves backing for the Rebellion by removing the Keenbold kobolds' Tofarian advisors, and then neutralizing the kobolds. The Onyxbanes will then be free to join the above-ground rebellion.
We also have Shadar-Kai CR0-20. We've used Shadar-Kai before, and were delighted to see them offered in the recent Unearthed Arcana from Wizards. So we're taking the opportunity to supplement the material.
Finally, we continue our supplement series of tight, universally themed adventuring days with Adventuring Days III for 3rd level PCs.
Here are the module summaries for this volume:
Encounters with Gold
EG1 Draconic Awareness. At the edge of civilization, rumors proliferate of a population of dragons. Such stories are always present at some level, but there is a definite upsurge lately that implies there is some basis in fact. Can heroes discover the truth about dragons in the Alshon Region? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 1st level characters. Episode one of Encounters with Gold. (This is currently available on DMsGuild.com.)
EG2 Draconic Retribution. The Cult of the Green Dragon has insinuated itself deep in the forest, and they have the patronage of a powerful noble. Can heroes bring the truth to light before catastrophe strikes? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 2ndlevel characters. Episode two of Encounters with Gold.
EG3 A Draconic Demagogue. Rumors circulate that a dragon cult has taken control of a nearby forest. Forces are aligning in support of the nobles who are protecting the forest, and those who favor violent intervention. A stranger presents a possible way to defuse the situation. Can heroes prevent the region from erupting in violence? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 3rd level characters. Episode three of Encounters with Gold.
EG4 Draconic Refugees. The hope of a safe homeland for the green dragonborn has been shattered. Their leader removed, and enemies moving, the community’s utter destruction is imminent. But perhaps there are innocents among the offending cultists. Can heroes determine those worthy of protection and help them escape the wave of destruction? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 4th level characters. Episode four in Encounters with Gold.
Tyranny in Purple
TP11 The Defector. The strength of the kobold war against the Onyxbane dwarves has dissuaded the Onyxbanes from joining the Rebellion as they believe they must focus on the kobold issue close to home. However, an opportunity presents itself that could significantly change the situation with the kobolds – an important Tofarian defector. But can heroes rise to meet the defector’s price for betraying the Tofarian Empire? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 11th level characters. Episode eleven of Tyranny in Purple.
TP12 Hostage Rescue. While an important Tofarian has defected, the other Tofarians continue to thwart efforts to end the kobold distraction so the Onyxbane dwarves can join the Rebellion. But the defector knows the intricacies of Tofarian culture. Can heroes rescue the hostages that keep the remaining Tofarians loyal to the Empire? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 twelfth level characters. Episode 12thof Tyranny in Purple.
TP13 The Keenbone Resolution. With the Tofarian advisors neutralized and important Keenbone cultural elements held hostage by the Onyxbane dwarves, the Keenbone kobolds’ aggression should be waning. But an influential leader has emerged that keeps the kobolds organized to the point that the dwarves cannot join the above-ground rebellion. Can heroes eliminate this kobold chieftain and free up the Onyxbanes to turn the tide of the war against the Empire? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 13th level characters. Episode thirteen of Tyranny in Purple.
Risks and challenges
While the modules are complete, we do a final review before distribution. We try to do this in a seamless and timely matter, but Vol. XIV was delayed a week, Vol. XXII was delayed three weeks to work through an issue with one of the modules, and Vol. XXI had to have the final version of two modules sent late. I expect to avoid such delays in the future, but it is a risk.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
