Welcome to the 18th volume of Dimgaard's 5th edition adventures. Thanks for the attention. If you want to see what a Dimgaard adventure module looks like, here is a sample (the first episode of this volume's DGA5 Fey Secrets): http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/207124/FS1-A-Newborn-Celebration.
In this volume we continue DGA5 Fey Secrets. We have episodes FS9 through FS12 taking the PCs from 5th level through 8th level. The action continues in the city of Odill, and then transitions to the remote, frozen north of Dimgaard.
The ongoing Dimgaard campaign is continuous and after many months of play the PCs are 18th level. DGC17 Back to the Abyss has the heroes returning to the Bleak Lands – an area of the Abyss where the raw chaos develops crossings to other planes. The PCs resume their interaction with Azots, the cambion who is fighting to retain control of the Bleak Lands. In a daring maneuver, the heroes have a chance to remove Asmodeus as a contestant.
There is also an encounter gallery. It currently has four entries: Uman Monastery, Slaadi, Hags, and Drow. However, I expect to add at least one other as a stretch goal. And there is the supplement Arcane Archer CR0-20 where we take the Unearthed Arcana's fighter archetype and build NPCs from CR0 through CR20.
Notably, the first chapter of DGA5 Fey Secrets is now part of the What the Heck backer level.
Here are the summaries of the modules:
DGA5 Fey Secrets:
FS9 Return to Tradition: With the hag conclave reportedly complete, the nobles and defenders of Odill breathe a sigh. But their feelings of relief may be too soon. An event as significant as a hag conclave has consequences that in themselves can bring down regimes. Can heroes rise to protect the peace and defend the innocent in Odill? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 9th level characters. Episode nine in Fey Secrets.
FS10 Manageable Evils: With a new government, Odill starts in a new direction. However, there are clear signs that the new direction may be plagued by some of the same problems that have historically made Odill a den of evil. Can heroes arise to prevent the evil influences from resuming their grip on Odill? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 10th level characters. Episode ten in Fey Secrets.
FS11 To the Edge: In the cold north, hag progeny inflict suffering and strife upon the world. Unbridled by the constraint of infertility that has forever been a check on his kind, this new breed could form the basis of a new race of evil super creatures, but the first step is to get to the blighted region. Can heroes cross the dangerous Dimgaard landscape to get within striking range of the hagspawn? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 11th level characters. Episode eleven in Fey Secrets.
FS12 Approaching Evil: On the frozen wastes of Dimgaard, a terror is routinely and repeatedly inflicted on innocent young women. Forced to birth monsters and killed in the process, the horrors have gone unnoticed for generations, but maybe the situation can be ended. Can heroes successfully traverse the final miles to confront the evil at the edge of the continent? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 12th level characters. Episode twelve in Fey Secrets.
DGC17 Back to the Abyss
DG76 Back to Votaries' Hold: The expedition into the Abyss’ Bleak Lands is in question. The shrines there that served as a means of supplying and reinforcing the crusaders have once more been destroyed. Can heroes’ quick actions save the outpost? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 18th level characters. The first episode in Back to the Abyss.
DG77 Bleak Council: The demon noble Azots hopes to secure his holdings (the Bleak Lands) against those encroaching into it. Azots and the heroes share common enemies, however. Can Azots and the heroes align their goals to end the volatility and threat from the embattled Bleak Lands? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 18th level characters. The second episode in Back to the Abyss.
DG78 To the Ruby Pool: An unlikely ally – Azots, the cambion ruler of a swath of the Abyss – has proposed a daring plan to strike deep at the supreme devil himself. Azots doesn’t have the resources to deliver the blow, but he does have the knowledge and resources to get a party in the right position. Can heroes emerge to undertake the transplanar mission? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 18th level characters. Episode three in Back to the Abyss.
DG79 The Devil's Trove: In the heart of Hell, items of power that could fuel causes for good across the cosmos are sequestered behind powerful wards and guardians. Can heroes liberate these treasures? A Dungeons and Dragons® 5th Edition Adventure for 1-8 18th level characters. Episode four in Back to the Abyss.
Risks and challenges
While the modules are complete, we do a final review before distribution. We try to do this in a seamless and timely matter, but Vol XIV was delayed a week. It was a combination of a problem that was realized late, and the distraction of the holidays. I expect to avoid such delays in the future, but it is a risk.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
