About this project
The goal of this super-fast campaign is to print an original poster, cast a fleet of matching miniatures and get them into your hands within the next month. Digital documents and supporting images will also be provided to fully detail the ship and its interior.
Free U.S. shipping. International adds $10 for one item or $20 for two or more (because international postage doubles after 8 ounces). Rewards will be shipped using USPS first class mail from Pittsburgh, PA.
The Kintaro deckplans are provided on one side of a full color, 24x36 inch poster. They are drawn to a 1 inch equals 5 ft scale and have a subtle 1 inch grid built into the floor.
The luxury Kintaro-class yacht is built to maximize speed, style, and comfort. It utilizes cutting edge artificial intelligence and automation technologies to minimize crew size and maximize performance. For your guests, the Kintaro class features opulent staterooms, well-appointed dining facilities, and even a swimming pool. Whether you are setting a new speed record or just drifting through the void, your trip will be first class from start to finish.
On the back of the poster is the Tachikaze interceptor. This variant features fewer amenities but has increased fire power and keeps all of the speed. With a shuttle for boarding duties, a brig for prisoner transport, and an advance sensor suite in place of the swimming pool, this speed demon is all business.
The Tachikaze map can be used to represent either a police interceptor or a military hunter killer. In the latter case the sensor array equipment instead represents the base of a spinal mounted rail gun. Click here for some higher resolution close-up views of the Kintaro and Tachikaze poster images.
The Kintaro/Tachiaze miniature was created as a digital model, 3D printed at the highest resolution, and made into a mold. From that, Trollforged Miniatures spun out the ships using their proprietary resin and professional techniques. The result is a highly detailed miniature, approximately 2.25 inches long, ready to paint and play (miniatures are sold unpainted). A hexagonal 1-inch, clear acrylic flight stand is included.
This ship comes from issue #3 of the 0-hr Armada "Codex" product line, currently for sale at RPGNow & DriveThruRPG. This includes layered PDF documents with room by room descriptions and generic stat blocks for the ships. Several additional renderings are included as are huge digital images of the poster - perfect for use online or with a projector.
If you would like to order multiple copies of the poster or miniature, manually increase your pledge accordingly. When I send out the surveys at the end of the campaign you can specify what the extra money is for and I'll bundle everything together
If you have pledged for the $30 combo, then a second Kintaro poster is $20 and/or a second Kintaro miniature is $10. Otherwise posters are $22 and miniatures are $12, International orders only pay shipping once ($10 for just miniatures, $20 for posters or mixed orders.).
If you would like to order posters or miniatures from my previous campaigns, please visit my website ( 0-hr.com ). You can order directly there, or check the prices and then increase your pledge here and let me know the details in the survey at the end of the campaign.
As a thank you to everyone for supporting this campaign, I will create a new rendered image of Kintaro or Tachikaze when we hit $3000, $4000, $5000, etc.. These images will be included with the digital reward files exclusively for backers.
Risks and challenges
I've run several successful campaigns just like this one so I am very familiar with the process. The map images, digital documents, and several miniatures are already made; so the only real risk is that the printing process or shipping could be delayed for some reason. I am personally handling the shipping so I can insure that it will be my highest priority once things are ready. It's also possible, though not likely, that my current stockpile of miniatures could be exhausted. In that case, I will need to make more. Again the delay, if any, would be minimal.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
