The goal of this quick campaign is to print an original pair of posters, create a set of miniatures, and get them into your hands by mid-August. Digital documents and supporting images will also be provided to fully detail the ships and their interiors.
The ships presented this time around are sleek designs intended to represent either advanced human/synthetic technology or a wholly alien culture. They are called the "Cyntek" in my world but are meant to take on whatever role best fits your particular game. The campaign includes two distinct posters and three unique models.
US Shipping is $6 for all pledge levels.
International shipping is $15 for miniatures-only pledges and $24 for other levels ($10 and $16 for Canada). Rewards will be shipped using USPS first class mail from Pittsburgh.
Complete deckplans are provided on a pair of a full color, double-sided, 24x36 inch posters. They are drawn to a 1 inch equals 5 ft scale and have a subtle 1-inch grid built into the floor. Posters are shipped rolled.
There are three unique ships included in this project: a freighter, a cruiser, and a small scout ship. They are laid out with the freighter and scout taking up the front side of both posters while the cruiser stretches across the back sides. This means that with a single pair of posters you can lay out either the full freighter or the full cruiser.
The posters are made with miniatures in mind and are scaled for use with Starfinder and similar d20 rule systems. They are usable as both adventure settings and potential player property.
For this campaign, a set of four miniatures (1 Freighter, 1 Cruiser, and 2 Scouts) is sold as a set. Additional miniatures can be added on to physical pledge levels: see "Additional Information" below for details.
The miniatures were created as digital models, 3D printed at the highest resolution, and made into a mold. From that, Trollforged Miniatures spun out the ships using their proprietary resin and professional techniques. A hexagonal 1-inch flight stand is included with each of the two larger ships. The scouts do not use stands.
These ships are drawn from the upcoming issue 03:02 of the 0-hr Armada "Codex" product line, soon to be for sale at RPGNow & DriveThruRPG. This product includes layered PDF documents with room by room descriptions and generic stat blocks for the ships. Several additional renderings are included as are huge digital images of the poster - perfect for use online or with a projector. Starfinder stat sheets will also be provided for free online.
If you would like to order multiple sets of the Cyntek posters or miniatures, manually increase your pledge accordingly. Every pair of Cyntek posters is $30. Every set of Cyntek miniatures after the first set is $14. Individual miniatures can be added to any physical pledge level for $9 per Freighter, $9 per Cruiser, or $9 for a 4-pack of Scouts. When I send out the surveys at the end of the campaign you can specify what any extra money is for and I'll bundle everything together. There is no additional shipping charge.
If you would like to order posters or miniatures from my previous campaigns, please visit my website ( 0-hr.com ). You can order directly there, or check the prices and then increase your pledge here to avoid additional shipping.
In appreciation for everyone supporting this project, I will create at least one new rendered image of these ships when we hit $4000, $5000, $6000, etc.. These images will be included with the digital reward files exclusively for backers.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this campaign! This is my second alien project and I am looking forward to doing more - both in existing and new styles. Of course, I will also continue to design and present human ships. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Risks and challenges
I've run several successful campaigns just like this one so I am very familiar with the process. The map images, digital documents, and sample miniatures are already made; so the only real risk is that the printing process or miniature production could be delayed for some reason. I am personally handling the shipping so I can ensure that it will be my highest priority once things are ready. It's also possible, though not likely, that my initial order of miniatures or posters could prove insufficient. In that case I would need to order more, which could delay some deliveries by 2 to 3 weeks.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
