Arts Team Intern
Working closely with our Arts team, you’ll lend a hand in bringing many amazing art projects to life this summer and will be working on an array of exciting things. This will involve tasks such as copy editing, brainstorming best practices for creators, and giving feedback on projects throughout their Kickstarter campaigns. The internship may also involve attending external pitch meetings with institutions and artists around NYC, working on research projects for our team and helping plan and execute with events for our cultural community.
As our Arts team Intern, you will do the following:
- Research potential creators (artists and creative organizations) for the Arts Team to work with.
- Advise creators on crafting, producing, and developing content for arts projects, from defining projects’ core stories to brainstorming project rewards and constructing project updates.
- Draft content for our forthcoming kickstarter.art web page.
- Keep up to date on what’s what and who’s who in the contemporary art world, and synthesize this information for the team.
We’re looking for someone with super solid writing skills, and a passion for Kickstarter’s mission. A focused background in art history or a deep knowledge of contemporary art through extracurricular commitments is preferred.
If this sounds like you, please drop us a line! We'd love to hear from you.
This position will be full-time from early June - early August, and on-site at our beautiful HQ in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
