The Degenerate Craft Fair

A month ago we were asked by the folks at the Degenerate Craft Fair — taking place in December in both Brooklyn and Manhattan — if Kickstarter would like to have a booth at the event. Since the organizer was Kickstarter creator Amy Wilson, we said yes even though we have nothing to display or do really when it comes to this kind of thing.
Then it hit us: why not invite our own project creators to come in and spend a few hours demonstrating their creative powers? They could offer workshops, do live demonstrations, display and sell some of their work, whatever it is that they do.
We made a few inquiries with some of the creators we know best, who quickly agreed. The folks behind Remedy, the Underground Library, Wonder City, Teach the World How to Doodle, Art as Fashion, and several more among them. We’ll be posting schedules of who will be where and when so that everyone can come out and meet some of our incredible project creators.
But we want more people. If you’re in NYC and have a Kickstarter project and something to contribute, please get in touch. We’d love to have you as part of our booth. Just leave a comment or hit the contact button on our Learn More page.
The Fair takes place December 4th at Silent Barn (DIY venue in Bushwick), December 13th and 14th at 303 Grand St. in Williamsburg, and December 18th and 19th at BravinLee in Chelsea. Folks from Kickstarter will be on hand as well, and we’re expecting good times. Expect future announcements on exact scheduling. And again — if you’d like to come out and help, please drop us a line.
Thanks everyone, and happy Thanksgiving!
