Kickstarter at New York Comic Con

It's that time of year again, where artists and fans converge upon New York City to celebrate comics, pop culture, and geekdom at New York Comic Con! Make sure to stop by our panel this Friday from 11am - 12pm for a discussion about Making Comics with Kickstarter. Joining us will be Jeremy Bastian and Thomas Negovan of Cursed Pirate Girl, Renae De Liz and Laura Morley of Womanthology, Jimmy Palmiotti of Queen Crab, and Joey Esposito of Footprints. We'll discuss the ins and outs of making a great project, followed by audience Q&A.

More of a night person? We'll also be co-hosting a Comic Con meetup with our friends at The Mary Sue on Friday night from 7pm - 10pm at Houndstooth Pub. Meet fellow comic book creators and fans, and indulge in general geekery (games might will be played). Stop by and say hello — we don't bite, and we want to meet you!

And last but not least, if you're exhibiting at New York Comic Con this year, drop us a note in the comments below and let us know where to find you!

We'll be exhibiting at Comic Con, booth 2846. Tu Books got its start with Kickstarter as Tu Publishing, which was acquired by Lee & Low Books as an imprint. Drop by and say hi, and check out our first season of books.

Sorry I missed you guys! I was a COMICON but did not make any KICKSTARTER panels. Anyone know if they will be online?

    6. Cindy Au on

@Jean-Luc The panel wasn't officially recorded, but I did see someone recording it on their iphone, so it's possible someone will post it online at some point!
