Discover A Handful of Fashion Projects

Legend has it that, if you wanted to, you could construct an entire outfit plus like every accessory entirely from Kickstarter fashion projects. There's a lot there, and more coming every day: from belts to really durable pants; from rainwear to boots to piles and piles and piles of wallets that get slimmer every day—it's all here. We combed through the site to find some interesting live fashion projects right now.
Pretty much exactly like what they sound like. The Quarter Century Pant is guaranteed to last twenty-five years AKA an entire quarter century. You could get a pair, bring a child into the world, and then still be wearing that same pair of pants when that child grows into an adult.
Do you like rain? Do you dislike rain? The bad news for everyone when it comes to rain is that rain does not care if you dislike it or like it. It happens or it doesn't, and sometimes you're just standing there in wet clothes when you don't want to be. But getting drenched doesn't have to be an unexpected day ruiner. Here's a whole assortment of waterproof, rain-appropriate clothing, from a classic poncho to an entire rain dress.
Bags are up there as one of the most crucial items that you probably think you can do without. And sure, you technically don't need to have a nice bag to carry your stuff (some examples of stuff: gym clothes, a book, a laptop, two laptops), but putting all your important day-to-day gear in a plastic shopping bag can only take you so far. Here's a selection of nice-looking, well-constructed leather bags that will last a lot longer than whatever temporary situation you've got going for yourself.
Being an adult is weird. No one technically tells you what to do, but you still have to do stuff you don't want to do. Sometimes that means wearing a whole bunch of bland clothes, even when you want to be the most original human that has ever walked the earth. That's the beauty of colorful socks though. You can throw them on under whatever you're wearing and express yourself on the low.
You guys, bamboo is so crazy. Have you ever grown bamboo before? it just, like, sprouts up instantly and then suddenly you're wading through thickets of it like you live in the middle of the forest. Here's some clean-looking sunglasses made with bamboo. Perfect for every sun-related occasion.
Festivals are a whole thing these days. You can't really take a breath without another one popping up and most of the time they are in some hot desert or non-desert that also happens to be really hot. We get it! No one wants to be rained on while they're watching a Modest Mouse reunion show or whatever (unless you're wearing some of that versatile rainwear we mentioned further up the blog post). Here's an eco-friendly, hydration-focused fanny pack designed to hold enough water for you and a friend and/or stranger who looks really thirsty. It's also got a cool heat-appropriate pattern and space for sanitizer and eye drops and stuff.
Basics are back! Okay, okay—they never actually went away, it's just that people love well-made basic items: sweatshirts, joggers, pocket tees (who doesn't love a good pocket tee?), crew necks... it's all here, it's all made in the USA, and it all looks pretty timeless. It is very possible to drape yourself in an entire outfit of this stuff, and when you do, you will be struggling to figure out how it is possible to be more comfortable (spoiler alert: it might not be).
