all in 1

This March, get your idea off the ground in one quick week.

What is All in 1?

All in 1 is a creative sprint to help you bring something new to life, simply and swiftly. Run a one-week project so you can get right to the fun part — creating.

How can I take part?

To take part in All in 1, launch a Kickstarter project with a seven-day duration any time in March. Once your project is live, be sure to put it on our radar: allin1@kickstarter.com

Project themes

Not sure where to start? We’ll be on the lookout for projects in line with the following themes. Try one out:

1s and 0s

Go binary: offer digital rewards only.

1-Hit Wonder

Offer a single reward tier.

1 Night Only

Create a one-time event or experience.

1st-Time Creators

Never run a project before? Now’s the time.

For details on participation, read the FAQs below.

  • Why should I run a one-week project?
While the average Kickstarter lasts 30 days, many projects reach their funding goal in a fraction of the time. Run a one-week project to efficiently rally support for your idea, then move on to the fun part — creating!
  • How do I launch a one-week project?
To run a one-week project, just set your funding duration to 7 days in Project Build. Note that it can take 2–3 business days for your project to be approved for launch, so be sure to submit it for review a few days before you plan to launch.
  • What do I actually have to finish during the one-week period?
The only part of your project restricted to seven days is the funding period. You can take as much time as you need to bring the project to life — but as with any Kickstarter project, be transparent with backers about how much time you think you’ll need to fulfill rewards.
  • How will Kickstarter promote my one-week project?
Throughout March, we’ll support one-week projects with extra promotion on kickstarter.com and in our editorial and social channels. For the best chance of being featured, launch your project in line with one of our All in 1 project themes, detailed above.
  • What do I need to do to be part of the “1s and 0s” theme?

To be considered as part of our “1s and 0s” theme, one-week projects should only offer rewards that can be delivered as digital files. You could publish an ebook, write a song and share the .mp3 with backers, or host a Kickstarter Live — as long as your rewards don’t need to be physically shipped, you’re golden.

Once your project is live, email it to allin1@kickstarter.com with "1s and 0s" in the subject line.
  • What do I need to do to be part of the “1-Hit Wonder” theme?

To be considered for promotion as part of our “1-Hit Wonder” theme, one-week projects must only offer a single reward tier. This keeps your project as simple as possible: just offer one thing (might we recommend the very thing you’re making?) as the only backer reward.

Once your project is live, email it to allin1@kickstarter.com with "1 Hit Wonder" in the subject line.
  • What do I need to do to be part of the “1 Night Only” theme?

To be considered for promotion as part of our “1 Night Only” theme, one-week projects should create an event or another experience that only happens once. You could host a performance in your living room or a VIP dinner party as part of a larger undertaking — just make sure that one of your reward tiers features a one-time-only experience.

Once your project is live, email it to allin1@kickstarter.com with "1 Night Only" in the subject line.
  • What do I need to do to be part of the “1st-Time Creators” theme?

To be considered for promotion as part of our “1st-Time Creators” theme, one-week projects must be helmed by a creator who — until now — has never run a project on Kickstarter. Welcome to the community!

Once your project is live, email it to allin1@kickstarter.com with "1st-Time Creators" in the subject line.
