Chicago is a city known for its food, but who can make sense of all the great restaurants? Lost in the shuffle of all the hip trendy restaurants is a collection of old time establishments serving up classic comfort food that you can't help but love. The Chicago Griddle Guide will be the greasy spoon lovers dream guide to navigating the Chicago food Scene.
The book will showcase Chicago's well-loved but not often well-known diners, griddles, and greasy spoons; complete with the stories that make them local favorites. We will talk with the owner's and regulars to portray the rich history of each of these unique establishments that reflect the diverse cultures of their neighborhoods.
The Book will include: – Over 100 full color pages of the restaurants and their surrounding neighborhoods.
– Interviews with the staff and patrons
– A map of all the restaurant's locations
– A checklist to mark which restaurants you have visited
– A list of unique places to visit around each restaurant
The money will be used to pay for a new digital SLR camera, travel expenses, button packs, a domain name and website, postage, and a limited edition version of the book for donations over $50. We really need your help to make this happen, any amount you can give will go a long way towards making this project a reality
Thank you,
Tony & Marin
