At the risk of giving away the ending, I want to offer you some of the hope I was referring to in my last update. What you'll hear below is found at the closing of a chapter called 'My Sacrifice', which is next-to-last in our story. The main character we've been watching and relating to in despair has found a new kind of happiness.

This is a song we've played quite a bit live over the last couple of years, so you might recognize it if you've seen us in person. Either way, I hope it offers you some encouragement today...

Today we're happy to offer you a preview of the 1st track on the new EP, called 'I Am the Only One'. This song sets the stage for our story of redemption.

This is where our inspiration (and therefore, trembling) begins. The particular part you're listening to (below) is where our main character is found, understood, and called out to be more than he's currently aware he's capable of being. From here ensues a great wrestling match to win back his heart; admittedly: without much resolution yet, but plenty of encouragement.

We're saving the vocals for the final release, but this is the first appearance of all 4 band members, so hopefully from everything involved here, you will experience the full array of emotion we're expressing. Hope you enjoy...

Hello friends & family,

This has been a relatively good week for recording. Although I've been battling a cold, the vocals have turned out better than I expected. Drums, bass, cello, guitar, and lead vocals are now complete on 5 out of 7 songs. Left to finish are background vocals on all tracks, plus:

+ My Sacrifice (vocals)
+ Break Me (guitar & vocals)

There will be some extra percussion/instrumentation we've got to polish up with, but all the major parts are coming along nicely (thanks to the rest of the guys for doing such hard work on this over the last 2 years of our lives)!

Attached to this post is a sound clip from track #3, The Spoils of Warring Hearts; it's the intro on acoustic guitar. I hope you enjoy it and will invite your friends to hear it, too. I'll be posting a couple more of these over the next few days...

As you can see, we've got over $1800 left to pledge with less than 12 days remaining.
