Sláinte! That’s not just the Gaelic way of saying “Cheers!”--it’s also a his-and-her beer book plus a versatile and entertaining travel guide. Simply put: 

We love beer. 

We are moving to Dublin. 

And we are writers who want to talk about this beautiful combination. 

We (Zach and Jenny) will compile our dueling reviews of every Irish beer we can find (and the places we find them) in one year. We’ll focus on discovering and chronicling the range of Irish beer, and proving that both sides of a couple can appreciate beer equally. 

On top of our beer-venture, we want to do the guide-style legwork for you. Which bartenders are good for an evening of yarns? What out-of-the-way restaurant has stew worth selling your distant relatives to obtain? Where on your beer journey of the Emerald Isle must you absolutely visit -- and where is worth a pass?

We already have support for travel to Ireland, living expenses, and school expenses; all we hope to raise is funding for research, travel costs around Ireland to wherever beer can be found, and publication.

Our funding goal will allow us to self-publish* this book, so the more beyond our goal we raise, the better quality you will see in the publication. Think color pictures, think hardback binding... think more beers and locales reviewed!

*Unless, of course, a traditional publishing house wishes to publish our book. Then ALL your patronage could go straight to the travel and the writing!

We've written a bit about our local beer at Al"brew"querque before now. But there, we're just talking about beer for our own pleasure. Sláinte! will be much more comprehensive, because we'll be writing for YOU -- our backers!
