Update #2: WE'RE BACK!
Well, we did it. Yeah Great Fine made it back from a 37 day voyage across the West. We met some amazing people, saw some beautiful places, played about 30 shows, and had one incredible experience!
We couldn't have done it without your help, and for that we are grateful. We had some incredible luck and we were able to come back with a little bit of extra money. We can now reinvest that money so that we can grow as a band and keep getting back on the road. Launching this Kickstarter project and going out on the road really showed how kind and genuine people can really be. We are excited to keep getting out there and seeing how far we can take this. So thank you so much for helping us follow a dream that we have been working hard at and will continue to follow as long as we can.
So now that we're back, it's time to fill those rewards. All we need from you is your name and address. We will send all the prizes out as soon as we get that. You can e-mail us your addresses to yeahgreatfine@gmail.com. Also, if you got a T-shirt, please be sure to include which size you would like.
Once again thank you so much for your help. We couldn't have done this without you!
Update #1: We did it!
So our Kickstarter campaign is over and we made it!!!!! We surpassed our goal and it's all because of YOU. Thank you so much to everyone who made this tour possible! We we're blown away by how many people showed their support. It's truly inspiring for us.
We embark on our grand adventure tomorrow morning! We will be filming as much as possible and posting updates on our site as well as facebook. So make sure you check up on us. Once we return from our odyssey, we will start fulfilling all of the rewards for all of you who were generous enough to donate to us. Thanks for your patience and wish us luck!
Love,
YEAH GREAT FINE

Yeah Great Fine. Something we all say when we just don’t care. Perhaps a dig on the general malaise of our generation (ourselves included). Mostly, an ironically spiritless label for a band that is anything but. Yeah Great Fine was born, like many bands, of a shared practice space and newly found free time, but also of a desire to create something new and vital.
We’ve all played in several bands and have seen countless others, and too often we walk away thinking, “I’ve heard that before”. It’s trite, but we want to make music that simply didn’t exist yet; to share with audiences the sheer joy that we feel when we discover something completely unique.
Our influences are many: the lush vocal harmonies of the Beach Boys, the heavily layered approach of bands like Battles and Maps & Atlases, the pulsing groove of Ratatat, the dense polymeter of traditional West African rhythms and the guitar counterpoint of the Strokes.
Most of the band has spent time in Jared Mees & Grown Children, so early on we were taken under the wing of Jared Mees, who also owns Tender Loving Empire (Typhoon, Y La Bamba, Finn Riggins) and he has been an indispensable resource for us.
We self-released our self-titled debut album in November of 2010 to a lot of sincere and generous national and international acclaim, and are about to release the "Circadian EP", a 4-song 7" being released through our friends in San Francisco, 20 Sided Records.
Known for our energetic and infectious live shows, we made a name for ourselves in the local Portland scene playing any party we could. Since then we have built our way up to playing some of Portland’s most respected venues (Doug Fir Lounge, Mississippi Studios, Wonder Ballroom). We’ve shared the stage with national acts such as the Walkmen, Typhoon, and Free Energy, as well as beloved West Coast bands such as Finn Riggins and Tartufi. We've played innumerable shows in Portland (including the two biggest local music festivals, Musicfest Northwest and PDX Pop Now!), several regional tours and a full west coast tour. We are currently booking a 6 week trek up and down the western U.S and absolutely can not wait.
