Update #12: Our website is up thanks to you!
Update #11: ITTTT'SSSSS ALLLLIIIVVEEEE
Update #10: SPEECHLESS SPEECH
Wow.
Jane and I are blown away. Our Kickstarter campaign was successful beyond our imagination. Some of the money, after printing costs, has already been invested in a great new website/store. We are so grateful for your contributions and hope you will love the mag.
Here is the tentative plan: Submissions are finished April 20th. We hope to have the book designed and ready to print in the first two weeks of May, and in our hands from the printer sometime in late June or early July. We will send you your copies and rewards immediately! We need one more form of contribution from you all, which is an Amazon review (of any sentiment), when the book is released. We will remind you and it would be a great help.
Things are coming together and we are so excited to show you our work and mess with your heads.
As a taster. One of our literary contributors, Christine Tierney, sent us a video of her reading her accepted piece entitled "Why 8?" :

We are super excited and grateful to all of you for all your donations! We are working away over here on all sorts of crazy things like Amphoteric Poems, theNewerYork Posters, and getting ready to mail out postcards illustrated by Guno Park!
And on top of all of that, we have been invited to participate in New York City's LitCrawl in September!
Again, we are appreciative and humbled by your donations and we can't wait to share this entertaining, challenging and super weird issue with you!

I am Josh, artistic manager and editor at theNewerYork Mag.
We have offices (meaning people with computers who help us) in Paris, New York City and Los Angeles.
I went to school for English and Philosophy (the money makers).
I like yoga, reading, classical piano, composting, gluten-free diets and hybrid cars, but when the time is right, I also like beer, trucks, shotguns, and dubstep (usually simultaneously).
I hope to grow theNewerYork into something bigger, a community/stage for experimental writers or an online art gallery.
I've got big plans.
