Hello Ever-Patient Kickstarter Backers,

It is fair to say that releasing a CD is a lot of work. Due to some -- or many as it were -- holdups we are finally mixing the CD and hope to have something available to you soon. We haven't forgotten about you and we are SO grateful that y'all have supported us. Remember to please keep informed with our other events on our website and Facebook page.

In the mean time, enjoy a live, unedited clip of us performing a movement from Bach's Aus der Tiefen, rufe ich, Herr, zu dir (BWV 131) from a performance in November.

After months of planning, we will be recording Bach's majestic cantata Himmelskönig, sei willkommen (BWV 182) today with the Horizon Chamber Choir & Players. We can't wait to share the final product with you in the next month or so. We will be recording in Shatto Chapel at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles. First Congregational is home to the LA Bach Festival, where we performed last week. Here is a picture from our sound check last week:

We have been working hard all summer planning our 2012-2013 season along with the Kickstarter recording project. We have fallen a little bit behind, but we plan on releasing our CD in November. The Bach Project

The music of J.S. Bach has always been the cornerstone of the Horizon Music Group's repertory. In our first two seasons, we have performed the motets, a number of cantatas, and St. John Passion. This season will begin what we call The Bach Project: a multiyear performance and recording project, which your donation helped fund.
