Hi, I'm Alejandro Pina, the writer and creator of the graphic novel, "Xmas On TV". This past year I found a fantastic veteran comic book artist, Ignacio Di Meglio, who agreed to collaborate with me on the book. We both believe in the marketablity of "Xmas On TV" and want to see our graphic novel published.
Because the book industry is struggling right now, the indie comic book world is much more hesitant to approve new and unknown properties. The best way to impress and gain confidence from a publisher is to have a completed document.
"Xmas On TV" will be 170 pages when finished. This is a tremendous amount of work for anyone to do for free. Half of the funds raised will go to Ignacio's salary and the other half will go to all the Preview Books, Greeting Cards, Posters and shipping that we're offering to you.
"Xmas On TV" is a whimsical and clever story for an indie comic book audience and a mainstream one. Once we finish the book we'll have many more options to gain mass publication. With a completed book, we will be able to submit to literary agents and pursue trade book publishing companies.
Beyond publication, the dream is to see "Xmas On TV" as an animated cartoon special! We hope to gain a large enough audience with the book so that we can pitch to networks!

Nope. Your donation will not be taken until August 12th. And thats only if the goal of $3000 is made by then. If this project does not raise enough pledges, then no one is charged anything.

We are only asking for PLEDGES - there is no money involved.
You will NOT BE CHARGED until AUGUST 12TH.
If we gain enough pledges by AUGUST 12TH - then the transactions are made - you get awesome merchandise and we get to make our book!
But IF WE FAIL - and we are not able to collect up to $3000 in PLEDGES - then NO ONE IS CHARGED. You get no awesome merchandise and we will sadly not be able to make our book happen.
