Giving Lee Elementary's 3rd grade an opportunity to show us A Day In Their Eyes.
Ann Mehr and I have joined heads to give 41 children in the third grade an ability to experience point and shoot with film as opposed to digital. This is to show them what they create and teach them a new way to look at the community they live in. A part of this project is to educate the children about storytelling and the use of symbols to tell a story to their community. We are hoping to achieve the goal in order to make books of the works of every student, and allow the books to be made available to the community as well. The money you are donating will be going to the production of the books as well as some back expenses of the film developing not covered in the initial fundraising. Thank you for your help. We all appreciate it.

Polina Malikin was teaching a class about experimental art and its different forms, and one of the assignments was to come up with a community based project during the social practice and art portion. I came up with teaching photography and was pushed to look into Wendy Ewald who influenced my teaching and this project heavily.
