Update #7: High Current Motor Control, Anybody?
For all of you EE/Robotics types who pledged to us (or not, that's cool too), make sure to read our latest blog post for a possible excellent deal on my super high current motor controllers. We're ordering as a group to decrease costs, and the prices can be very good indeed.
Anyway, here's that: http://wonderblend.endoftheinternet.org/...
Update #6: New Website
If you haven't noticed, my website is down. Blah. Yeah, I don't know if I can get it working again, but I've contacted the admin, who hasn't responded yet. Anyway, I've decided to host it on my old computer, with a wimpy basic-cable connection. We'll see how that works. Anyway, I'm still working on it, but here it is: http://wonderblend.endoftheinternet.org/
Hopefully my other one (from a huge datacenter) works again, and then you can forget about this. Sorry about the confusion.
Update #5: Fancy Real-time Updates!
Howdy Wonderblend Supporters!
First of all: Mechanical parts ordered! Yay! We ordered seven-hundred-ish dollars worth of motors, gearboxes, and things to arrive this next Friday! If you really want to hear about all of that as it happens, I just thought I'd let you know that our blog is probably going to be a tad more updatey when it comes to the robot. If you really want to check out every individual detail we've made to the robot, go there. So here's that: http://etharooni.polorix.net/wonderblend/
Also, Backers, make sure you respond to that message I sent y'all, if you want your rewards and stuff. Plus, I want to know how you found out about us.
Thanks,
Ethan
Update #4: You guys are awesome.
I feel like I've thanked you backers a lot, but you don't know how great I feel that people like you are willing to donate to us. It really makes me happy. You made this project possible, and now what was previously just a dream of two High School engineers, can now actually come alive. Thanks a lot for making this possible.
-Team Wonderblend
Update #3: Thanks
You guys are amazing. Seriously. We both had hoped to build something like this, but neither one of us suspected that so many people would be willing to donate, or that the project could actually come together. Now it can! Craziness!
Thanks a lot. For realz. We really appreciate every contribution. Not to be cheesy, it's actually pretty amazing and humbling to know that people are willing to help others so generously just because they like the idea. Thanks.
Backers: Be prepared for some of the craziest thank you notes you've ever seen, as well as an insane killer robot coming to life because of you.
Thanks again,
Team Wonderblend.
P.S. Be sure to check our website for the latest news on how the coolest lawnmower ever will come together. http://etharooni.polorix.net/wonderblend/

Funding Successful
This project successfully raised its funding goal on June 1, 2010.
Pledge $1 or more Pledge $1 or more
Thanks for helping out! With the money given from you, we could get a couple feet of wire, or maybe even a couple bolts! Thanks a lot, you.
Pledge $10 or more Pledge $10 or more
For a $10 pledge, backers will get a nice handwritten thank you, as well as their name on a list of people who helped that would go on our t-shirts, and our 'building of the robot' Youtube video we are in the process of making.
Pledge $20 or more Pledge $20 or more
For a $20 pledge, backers would get their name on the FREAKIN' ROBOT, as well as all of the rewards above.
Pledge $50 or more Pledge $50 or more
For a $50 pledge, backers would get the above as well as blinky LED thank you note. It would be awesome. Trust me.
Pledge $200 or more Pledge $200 or more
Now we're talkin'! If they someone were to donate $200, they would get the rewards above, AND a big note of their design on the robot that would be clearly visible from the stands, as well as a nice, welded thank you note.
Pledge $1,000 or more Pledge $1,000 or more
If some crazy person decided to donate $1000, the first backer would get to choose a new name of the robot, within reason. Yeah, really! They would also get crazy specialized welded and blinkie thank you notes, a big note on the robot, and whatever else I've already said. We'd also love you forever.

Team Wonderblend is made up to two crazy Highschool Freshman: Ethan and Ashlen. We're both into things like motorized armchairs with flamethrowers, DIY Segways, twenty five foot tall trebuchets, giant steel robots that destroy other ones, just to name a few. Yeah, that's us.
