Folklore Completion Set For Early 2013
You are probably receiving our newsletter with album updates, show info, and random miscellanea. But just in case your electronic mail delivery person has been secretly keeping your messages for him/herself (or any number of potentially disastrous situations have kept our telegrams from reaching your eyes, and your eyes only), we are posting our very first Project Update.
It is now December, which means that like so many library books lost in the ether, the Folklore album is overdue. However, I promise that though we are only about halfway completed at this present date, it is twice the concentrated goodness - which means when you receive your album in early 2013, it will smell, look, taste and sound doubly delicious. How can we make this claim? I have heard it with mine own ears. The extra time we have put into it has really shown especially in our collaboration with our producer Brandon Keely. Slow and steady.
A word on our last show at Viracocha. It was lovely playing for all your lovely selves in one of the most exquisite human-made spaces in the western world. It was our last show of 2012 and we are grateful to have shared it with you, and with the transfixing Rebecca Cross and beloved Andre Karpov.
We should also mention that we were featured in the last Asterisk Magazine, a local publication.
