About this project
We are proud to announce that Without will be premiering in competition at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City! For many of us, including director Mark Jackson , cinematographer Jessica Dimmock , and lead actress Joslyn Jensen, this is our first feature film. The project was filmed on location on Whidbey Island, WA, with a tiny crew and on a tiny and self-funded budget. Now a year after conception, our hard work and dedication to the project have resulted in a film that has been accepted into two film festivals, with many more to come. In this year's festivals, we'll be slated in competition opposite films with much greater resources to produce and promote.
A number of highly talented artists have already lent their abilities to the project either for free or for marginal cost. However, there remain some expensive final steps to finish the project including mastering the sound mix, color correcting the picture, creating special effects, making exhibition quality prints, and promoting the film.
Without has been honored with praise from filmmakers and critics. With such encouraging feedback we hope to raise sufficient funds to finish the film at the level of artistry that we've strived for throughout.

Mark Jackson is a Brooklyn based filmmaker.
Jessica Dimmock is an award-winning photographer who's work has been exhibited in international galleries and museums. Her clients in Aperture, The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, and HBO.
Composer Dave Eggar, graduated from Harvard and Julliard’s doctoral program. He has appeared throughout the world as a classical soloist, including concerto appearances at Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall, London’s Barbican Center, and the Paris Opera. His newest album, Kingston Morning, has been nominated for a Grammy.
Joslyn Jensen is based in New York. Without is her first film. Wait until you see her.
