Windowfarms Payment Processing Delay
Dearest Windowfarms Sustainers,
Happy 2010 from the euphoric Windowfarms Team! We are back in New York and thrilled to be continuing our work. We are going to spend the next month improving our kit design (now that we have the money to do some more R&D!) and printing our "Look Books", so those of you who are expecting one of our "incentives" in the mail, fear not! They're on their way. Slowly, but surely :)
We've heard from a few of you that you've received notification that your payment to our project has been denied. This is not actually the case. Due to a minor banking delay on our end, Amazon is only releasing our funds to us in batches... so some of you have been charged, and some of you are "holding" (but may have received an automatic message that your payment did not go through). The folks at Kickstarter/Amazon assure us that your info is absolutely safe and that all the payments will go through in the next week. Please sit tight, and if there are further problems do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com and/or get in touch with the Kickstarter folks.
Also, we now have the funding necessary to complete our 501c3 paperwork with the IRS. This is a notoriously long process (we've been told it may take as long as 10 months) but we will let all of our donors know when we have successfully filed, and you can retroactively deduct your donation (if you so choose) on your 2010 taxes.
All the very best in this new year and decade, and many many thanks to all of you for your support.
Britta, Maya and The Windowfarms Team.
