Take a look at this really cool and innovative lamp, the frosted globe appears to be suspended in mid-air over the lamp base.

We have two styles for you to choose from:

Horseshoe Style (pictured in blue with white globe) Model #100

Street Lamp Style (pictured in green with blue globe) Model #200

Your choice of colors : Blue, White, Red, Green , Yellow, Black, Brown.

                                       HOW DOES IT WORK?

There are two strong magnets at play, the first one is inside and at the top of the globe. The second magnet is embedded in the top of the wooden lamp. One magnet is attracting the other. There is a thin string connected from the bottom of the globe to the lamp base.

Even though there is a strong magnetic attraction between the two magnets, the string prevents the two magnets from contacting each other.

The bulb inside is a very bright white LED  and is being powered by 2 AA batteries. When needed the batteries can be replaced by simply pulling the two halves of the globe apart. 

The bulb is "Bright White" LED rated for 20,000 hours.

The pledge amount will be used to purchase at wholesale pricing the materials to build as many units as possible.

Of course the very first units will be sent to the KICKSTARTER community.

Open source? Yes! A complete set of plans are available in a couple of our pledge rewards.

The total height of the lamp from the bottom of the base to the very top of the wood support is about 11".  The acrylic globe is  3"  in diameter.

There are five colors available: Red, blue, green, yellow and white. You can mix or match the colors in any combination that you wish for both the globe and the stand. We have now also added black and brown to the color selection.

The lamps will be shipped using the US Post Office. All lamps will be shipped from our Oregon location.
