Last week, Grammy-Nominated Aaron Gillespie (Underoath, The Almost) flew into Baltimore to produce our new album being released on 4.3.12. Originally, we had planned to call the album "The Red Sea EP", however, as the songwriting, re-writing, demos, and actual recording began to take form, we quickly realized that this album had a much different meaning.

As Aaron Gillespie learned about what our band does "off stage" (The Hunger Strike, child sponsorship with Food for the Hungry, living amongst the poor, etc), he mentioned that our band is an example of how followers of Jesus should "Love on the outside". As we recorded the 5 best songs that we have ever written, the album took on a tone of passionate worship & lyrics challenging the listener to simply "do what the Bible says". (Don't worry rock fans, we still have some good rock anthems on the record for you). 

Therefore, today, we are happy to announce that the new name of our E.P. being released in April is: Love on the outside E.P. (Produced by Aaron Gillespie) We plan to release the 1st single off of this album in February.   *(All pre-orders & kick-starter pledges for "the red sea e.p." will be honored towards this album).

Hi friends,

We wanted to say thank you for your patience as we prepare for the release of our new record. GOOD NEWS....WE HIT THE STUDIO NEXT WEEK TO RECORD! Aaron Gillespie is flying in on Sunday night, and we will immediately begin putting the final touches on songs to record. 

In addition, we promised to give away a FREE guitar to one special person who "backed" our record on Kickstarter. So - Justin will be using that guitar to record a few songs on the record, the band will all sign it, and then we will choose one special person to give it to! Stand by...

This week, I flew to nashville to complete some demos of the new songs for our record! Justin was in Washington, D.C., Tyler was in South Dakota, and Jordan was in Maryland, so we were sending files via the internet to each other to finish some of the songs. 

I am writing this update from a songwriters cabin that I reserved in Franklin, TN (outside of Nashville) and it was provided by a great organization called "Porters Call". The guestbook was recently signed by Jimmy Needham and Warren Barfield... there is definitely a sense of peace and creativity in this cabin. Here are some photos for you... can't wait for you to hear the new songs!
