Digital downloads will be available a few days after the Kickstarter campaign is complete, roughly around December 6th.
Whatevski Records started up in 2009 to give The Slackers and other NYC ska and reggae musicians a way to digitally release B-Sides, bootlegs, & side projects with low overhead or overbearing label in the way.
When we were working with The Slackers to produce their latest release, titled "The Radio", we thought, let's do this bigger and better and bring the spirit of Whatevski to everyone.
If you fund The Big Tunes Project, Whatevski will be able to branch out to:
- Put out more great records from bands from NYC and beyond.
- Open a digital store where any ska, reggae, or soul band in the world can sell their music directly to the community. Think iTunes for reggae & ska plus a lot more friendly features.
- Give our headlining bands better royalty payments, promotion, and support.
- Put on a one-day festival in Brooklyn.
The Slackers believe in supporting the scene the same way we do, and are offering special bundles & formats of "The Radio" as the Kickstarter reward. It's a collection of 11 cover tunes, some famous, some obscure, all beautiful and perfect.

Downloads will be available as soon as Kickstarter clears your pledge. CDs and Vinyl will be a few days after Kickstarter clears your pledge, except for international orders, which will take longer.
