Help fund Don't Act Like A Girl, a raucous cabaret act with a live band, queer teen angst, and plenty of confetti.

Hello everyone! I'm so excited for you to see Don't Act Like A Girl when it opens in January, but even though it's a solo show, I just can't do it alone!

Help me raise funds for everything from posters to props, make-up to mics, to pay my amazing three person band, and earn a sassy souvenir for doing so!

Don't Act Like A Girl  is a coming of age story set at the dawn of
the Prozac Nation era.

This one-man show flashes back to the life of an awkward young loner who is
misdiagnosed, over prescribed and misunderstood until a fatal trip to
fat camp ultimately changes his life.

Original monologues and familiar songs tell true stories of special education, musical theatre, 9/11 and teenage drag queens.

Inspired by David Sedaris, "Elaine Stritch at Liberty" and Chaka Khan, Don't Act Like A Girl is a raucous cabaret with a live three person band, queer teen angst, and plenty of confetti. 

Don't Act Like A Girl is written and performed by Wes Perry. It is directed by Annoyance veteran Tim Paul, star of the solo shows No Fats No Femmes and Tim Paul's Retarded, with musical direction by Charles Worth.

Don't Act Like A Girl opens on January 8th at The Annoyance and runs every Sunday at 9:30 through Sunday, February 12. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at theannoyance.com or by calling 773-561-HONK.
