UPDATE: We Made It! Thanks to you, five films will definitely get their funding, but we still have some time before the campaign is ending. So guess what? We've been contacted by a donor who has agreed to match dollar-for-dollar every penny we raise over the $10k goal to make MORE films (up to a maximum match of $5k), and every $2500 funds a new as-of-yet unnamed project. We Make Movies, the Los Angeles film collective, is shooting its second slate of short, independent content. Slate Two consists of five very different short films, films that represent the best of our writer's workshop and were all developed directly through our community. These films span all different types of genres and come from unique and original voices - voices you haven't heard from before. And we need YOUR HELP to raise $2,500 for each film.

While a father tries to shoot the groundhog that's been terrorizing his wife's vegetable garden, he and his young son make a game out of it... it's kind of like Tag.

LAYOVER is the story of two strangers, a broken-down man and a young bride-to-be, stuck at an airport hotel bar, where they find an unexpectedly uplifting connection in each other.

A romantic comedy with an enriching story about the artistic process and the journey of a guy, a girl and a story.
We’re making movies we want to see—the kind of movies Hollywood won’t step out and make. Somebody’s gotta do it!
Slate one was a huge success! In fact we're screening it March 4th in Los Angeles and all of the Slate One donors who can't make it to the screening will receive their gifts by mid-March.
