Artists that immediately caught my eye as their names quickly scrolled by in the end credits to the preview shown here:

Jimmy Sabater Sr: Nuyorican timbalero and vocalist for Joe Cuba, he sang the English leads, while Ponceno Cheo Feliciano, sang the Spanish leads on Joe Cuba's 60s hits

Nicky Marrero master timbalero and percussionist with Eddie Palmieri, Larry Harlow, Ismael Miranda, Fania All Stars, Machito, and Típica 73, among many others!

Alex Masucci brother of Fania All-Stars impresario Jerry Masucci (Jerry joined El Maestro, Johhny Pacheco in 1964 to co-found Fania Records)

Bobbito Garcia, as skillful as Cheo is with soneos, Bobbibito is on the asphalt, a living legend in basketball, among the best streetballers ever to step on the bitumen

And of course on the opening cut, those are the golden vocals of the immortal José Luis "Cheo" Feliciano Vega accompanied by Nick Jiménez' tremendous swinging motifs and indelibile piano riffs on the bugalu stone classic "Bang! Bang!" by the Joe Cuba Sextet

A brilliant, insightful, and incisive rumination on bugalu and the dominant culture it was a response to can be found here:

I saw the rough cut of this film and it was great. Almost everyone stayed after the concert in Central Park and cheered throughout the movie when learning about their favorite artists.
