Based on current reactions we're assuming everyone disappeared and is maybe a little sad that it took this long, and that makes us sad. So don't be sad! Update #17: Behind the Scenes Pt. ???
Hey everyone.
We've got a new post showing behind-the-scenes of our shoot day. This gives you another small glimpse at what is ultimately a lot of hours in a day but has helped us make what will be Andrew's best video to date and our best piece of work that has relied on all of our strengths to see it come to fruition.
These are just a few moments of a very long day. You can see a bit of how many people it takes to make something like this. And we're very thankful that we did have this many people who worked SOOOOOO hard that day to make it all happen. We're so excited to show you the final product. Shout-out to our friends at Electric Train for taking on some of the logistics of this production.

Hey everyone.
If you haven't seen it already we've created a quick teaser of the music video you all helped make! We'll be giving you more info as to the ins-and-outs of the creation of the video and directly address the elephant in the room of why it took so freakin' long.
There'll be more posts coming more frequently so stay tuned here and to the 'songstowearpantsto' Youtube page. If you haven't seen Andrew's more light-hearted stuff at all recently you should probably mosey on over there and see for yourself. Very. Very.

Update #14: A little more Behind-the-Scenes…
We got a bit more going on to show you some of the set we created AND some of our fancy camera work. Sometimes these things take longer than expected but you're all really going to love this video when it's finished. And soon enough we can show you some sneak-peeks at the post-production stages and how far we're pushing this video!
We're going places we didn't think were possible when we set out to make this oh-so long ago and we're getting really excited about it.
This update is short but there's more to come, so please enjoy.
Update #13: This is an update!
I think I said bi-weekly.
I was entirely wrong and for that, I'm sorry.
BUT HERE IT IS!
Another little bit of behind-the-scenes AND a few snippets of the 'coming-to-completion' video as we work through the edit, which is 2 steps away (kinda big steps but 2 none the less) from being completed!
So, please enjoy, sorry it took so long again for this update. We're really trying to make these faster and you should see more of them, more often.

Update #11: and we're back.
Hey everyone.
I wanted to let you all know that despite our apparent silence for the last month or so, we're back and ready to show you some things.
First.
Storyboards.
My brother and I have long been figuring out the proper system creatively and logistically. He lives about a 23 hour drive away and naturally, being my brother, I've wanted to include him in my creative process since I became a filmmaker. He was the person I was always influenced by creatively when I was growing up and his talents as an illustrator are indeed great.
And now I feel like we've achieved that! It's really great to be able to walk into making a video like this and have his work to show off to everyone involved in making this video while we're preparing for it and when we're shooting.
So, as promised, here they are.
Props to my brother Shawn Richter for being so willing and able to make these happen!
More to come very soon. Sorry for the silence for you all, there have been some major changes in my life (all positive) but that have greatly affected my time in the last month.
I look forward to posting new behind-the-scenes videos within the next few weeks to show you how this whole thing really works.

Born in small-town Canada, Karl Richter was heavily influenced by his older brother’s interests to pursue the arts at a young age. Through secondary school into highschool he studied comics for inspiration in illustrating and story-telling, always looking to movies for inspiration. By the end of highschool he pursued design and moved to Toronto to learn about graphic arts at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Within 6 months of living in Toronto, his love of film and the possibility that making movies was real, he realized motion picture was the means to fulfill his desire to tell stories using all facets of art— from composition and colour to emotion of performance and movement.
After a few false starts, ‘The Boy and His Wolf’ was the first short film that Karl felt he had made something worth talking about. This was the beginning of his journey as a Director, which lead to the creation of ‘wendel’, a collective based moniker to take the emphasis off of Karl as the sole creative force behind any project he would write, direct, edit or produce due to the collaborative nature of motion picture.
'The Boy and His Wolf' was a Platinum REMI award winner at the 2009 International Film Festival while his second short film 'The Door' was an official selection at the 2009 SoCal Independent Film Festival.
The end of 2009 released wendel's second music video and first for Your Heart, titled 'In the Sun'.
2010 was a very transitional year for Karl and wendel as it officially became an entity unto its own, created out of the inclusion of Philip Bowser (visualFX) and Russell Greene (Producer) as well as Nicole Martens (PR + styling).
With the full 'cast' rounded out, wendel has relocated to Los Angeles to get into the industry proper, having started 2011 with Discovery channel and riding that to transition into doing continuous TV branding and motion graphics. This of course alongside all the continuous shooting for more musicians and brands including Quiznos, US Bank, Brother Printers, the NCAA, Colin Munroe, The Working Hour, TiRon and Ayomari and Lexdray.
