About this project
The Vision
We are transforming a commercial retail storefront in Tacoma's downtown theater district into a veterans art gallery and loft where current and former service members can connect and create art for fun and for healing. Help us in our effort to purchase easels, paints, brushes, and other materials to build out the space and make it ready for our soldiers and veterans.
The Need
$10,000 by November 1st! - We occupy our new gallery on November 1st. We'll start building out immediately and preparing for our grand opening on Veterans Day November 11, 2010.
The Space
7,500 square feet is the size of our new gallery and loft. That's a lot of room and it's all dedicated to our vision of building a creative space for our nations soldiers and veterans.
These funds will pay for lumber, drywall and other building materials.
Additionally it will allow us to print a first edition, full color catalog of all current veteran painted uniforms in the exhibition. The uniforms are the core of The War Experience Project and are personal expressions of service. Pledge $65 or more and receive a copy of this limited First Edition catalog.
