Dear Brothers and Sisters,

You will no doubt be pleased to know that 1,000 copies of the Sufi Second Line album arrived at my home in New Orleans on Saturday.  I have already started packaging up the gifts and albums, etc and will put the first batch in the mail tomorrow.  I cannot thank you all enough for being such an integral part of this process.  You have blessed us with your support.  It is our sincerest wish that this album brings you joy and that you share it with others.  We have already begun selling copies as well, and 100% of the proceeds go to our next step which is to, "SEND THE BAND TO PAKISTAN" - bumper stickers and T-shirts pending.

My Dear, Dear Friends and Deeply Loved Ones,

I am proud to report a small miracle.  I woke this morning to my friend and the director/editor of the video on this site, Gabriel Goldstein, knocking at my door gleefully announcing that we had made it.  In less than 6 days we raised $5,000 for the Sufi Second Line Project.  We are so grateful for all of your support and encouragement, and humbled by the faith that you have shone in our ability to meet our goal.

Tom has informed me that two dates are now etched in stone with musicians and back-up singers all ready to converge in Nashville and make this album a reality.  This would not be happening if it weren't for you.

For all those friends of yours and ours who were thinking about contributing but are now less inclined to do so because we made our goal, please tell them to reconsider!  The $5,000 is just for the recording and mixing and mastering of the album.  There will be numerous costs afterward- pressing the album, cover art, distribution, etc.  Every dollar contributed will be used for the production of this album even if we double the current amount.  We still have five days before they close down the giving portion of the site and every little bit contributed helps. Thank you!

One can't help but feel we are all on the cusp of something truly spectacular.  Time to take the plunge!

Thank you so endless much to all 43 fine folks who have already contributed to our project.  We have raised $1,800 in only three days thanks to you!  Now we are in the home stretch. 

We have just over 6 days to bring in another $2,800 and we are going to need all of the help you can muster.  Gather your voices, tell your friends, urge them to tell THEIR friends and get the word out.  Help us finish the album and get copies to YOU, then, In sha' Allah, start performing as well.  There is already word of two gig opportunities - IF we finish the album.

I wanted to thank everyone who has supported us thus far. We are just getting started and this is going to be a fun ride. Andrew is getting ready any time now to upload a new video to  our Kickstarter page. We are going to do another huge push at that point and try to get things rolling. If you can pass this along to anyone you know that would be great! We can move this thing exponentially and really make some traction. Hope everyone is have a fabulous day and again, thank you.
