A workshop for high school teachers interested in incorporating the writings of Kurt Vonnegut into their curriculum.
Searching for a distinctively Hoosier way to get your English students excited about writing? The Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library would like to offer a free workshop for Indiana high school teachers interested in incorporating the writings of Kurt Vonnegut in their curriculum. Directed by Vonnegut scholar, Rodney Allen, Ph.D., the workshop will assist educators to sculpt AP level course plans to encourage the type of critical thinking that is so unique to Kurt Vonnegut’s writings.
By visiting the KVML and utilizing Vonnegut’s works to think critically about important cultural, philosophical, and civic issues, students of his fiction can begin to see literature as a vital part of the history of their state and better envision themselves as becoming writers. The workshop will take place from July 18-22.

This program will cost the KVML $4,000 and has been made possible through a matching grant from Indiana Humanities in cooperation with the National Endowment for the Humanities.
