A 41-Year Old Fringe Rocker Attempts to Play Semi-Pro Football.
We are Sarah Jensen and Amy Hobbs. We call ourselves Hello, Margeaux. We are based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Billy O'Neill is forty-one years old. He is a Milwaukee native. After playing football in high school and college, he went on to be the frontman for the band Oh My God. This documentary follows his attempt to play football once again - this time for the Racine Raiders, a semi-pro football team in Racine, Wisconsin.
We will also document his music career, his personal life, and his escapades with self-proclaimed American superhero, Captain Usa. In the coming months, we will film whatever unfolds in his life. We don't know if this will be a story of triumph. But we do know it will be interesting.
We began production in February of this year, and have followed Billy through the initial stages of training and tryouts. We have purchased all of the equipment we will need for the project. We have also funded our first few months of production and travel back and forth between Nashville and Milwaukee. All we lack are the travel funds needed to continue gathering footage through the end of the season.
That's where you come in. We'd love for you to be involved in the making of the greatest sports-rockumentary we've ever made.
